Who Would Pay $500k to Host a Dinner for Donald Trump in Aspen??

Newsflash, read all about it at the Orange County (California) Republican Party's website. Donald Trump is coming to Aspen for dinner this Saturday at an as-yet unpublished location to raise money for his campaign. The event is a joint project of 48 state Republican parties (Colorado is not even one of them).

I know it's hard to believe, but the cost of serving as a dinner "host" is $500,000 per couple, which can either be a direct donation of funds or raising that amount from others. So far, 8 individuals/couples have signed on as hosts. [More...]

What you get for hosting: a "Roundtable, Photo, & VIP Dinner Seating".

For co-hosts, the price is $100k donated or raised per couple. The levels decrease from there, all the way down to $25,000. per couple just to attend.

Who is behind this besides the 48 Republican state parties? Donald Trump PACs.

The Trump 47 Committee, the joint fundraising group behind the event, includes Donald J. Trump for President 2024, the Save America PAC, [and] the Republican National Committee.

What is the Save America PAC? According to the FEC, it is a "joint fundraising group" that has raised $223.5 million for Trump since January, 2023 (18 months). Where did the money go?

During the same period, $138 million was transferred to "affiliated committees" and PACS. Here is the list. Operating expenses were $76 million and total disbursements were $176 million.

I wonder if the announcement of the addition of Tim Walz to the Democratic ticket will energize Democrats and result in an increase campaign contributions to Harris/Walz. I sure hope so.

For $500,000 per couple, I'll host a dinner in my barn and serve the people the best Greek food they've ever eaten (if I do say so myself).
But Trump isn't getting a dime. I'll give a bunch if it to the Harris campaign, and we'll keep the rest of it.

the "bite the hand ..." files
The angry former president targeted Miriam Adelson, one of the Republican Party's wealthiest backers, over claims that her $100m "Preserve America" PAC was being run by "RINOs"--Republicans In Name Only, The New York Times reported.

What's the problem weirdo, didn't get your cut?

Adelson has been incredibly generous to the Orange Moron. She should cut off the spigot, however I'm sure she won't. Seems like these idiots revel in being insulted by that gas bag.

I can't imagine many of them shelling out the bucks if they perceive the Trump campaign to be a loser. And right now, the Trump folks are stumbling badly.
