The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been going on for a couple weeks now and I snagged up a few things for the home right away, but of course now that I've had some time to look over everything else I wanted to pick up some things for the fall since they're at such a great price. Unfortunately today is the LAST day of the sale before prices go up again tomorrow, so today's the day to finally pull the trigger!
I have a Nordstrom credit right now and am just dying splurge on these tall black boots, though these are very similar for a quarter of the price! As always, I'm a big fan of blue and white and think this top and this top would be a great easy top with jeans and flats or boots in the fall.
As some of you may know one of my favorite retailers, Nordstrom (who doesn't love free shipping and returns, a great selection of brands, and customer service?!) has put some great items on sale through Monday. And you are a card holder like me, today you can earn double rewards! It's a great chance to do a little early Christmas shopping (these monogram mugs would be a great gift and are less than $15!) or pick up a great dress for holiday parties!
The last thing I needed this afternoon was another sale but when I got an email from Tory Burch announcing a Private Sale, you better believe I got on right away! There are some great items that often don't go on sale, like this Robinson Satchel that I have had my eye on for so long! I've saved some of my favorite picks for you all to shop, but get to it because I have a feeling many of these items won't be in stock for long!
The temperatures has started to drop a bit and it's finally (lightweight) sweater weather in Charleston! I've been in the market for a new cream cable knit sweater to layer with a plaid or chambray shirt when it gets chillier and some tall riding boots!
I love the look of the classic L.L. Bean Fisherman Sweater but since I have such a long torso I'm worried about it being a little short... so I'm leaning towards a longer style sweater like this one or this one. I also love the style of this sweater, though it's not the cream color I've been eyeing, but still a good neutral that I could wear often.
Love the look of these cable sweaters? I bet you would love this cream cable knit dress!
Hi friends! If you've been following along with me on Instagram, you'll see that I've been having a little mini Charleston "staycation" with Robbie before he starts his new job next week in Savannah. I've been trying to soak up every bit of time we have together here before he's down in Georgia.
I did want to share this fantastic bit of news for Lilly lovers, Saks is having a Friends & Family sale where they are offering 25% off with code FRNFAM... Lilly Pulitzer items included! I've gathered some of my favorites to snag while you can since a lot of these items are often never on sale (Elsa tops) or may sell out before they go on sale in the spring! I just got this quilted vest and can't wait to start wearing it soon- I love the cute print on the inside for a fun pop of color!
Now that we have gotten a little taste of fall (though I think it was just a tease since it looks like it'll be in the 80's this week) I finally gotten into full-on fall mode. I'm a warm-weather girl at heart and love spring and summer, but by the time October rolls around, I am finally ready to put away the shorts and sandals to break out the boots and vests!
Here are a few of my current fall favorites:
This candle instantly makes it feel like fall in any room. I discovered it at Anthropologie last year and have gone through almost the whole tall jar. In case you aren't sure you want to buy the tall size, it also comes in this smaller version. I also love the Sweet Vanilla and Cinnamon scent and this Pumpkin Spice Chai one sounds amazing too!
As the temperatures start to drop, I love coming home and putting on a cozy pair of pj's. I can't wait to throw these Old Navy Halloween pants on and watch some of my favorite fall tv shows and Halloween movies (Hocus Pocus anyone?!)
This Stella and Dot hot pink elephant band bracelet is not only incredibly cute but also goes towards a great cause! 100% of the proceeds in October go to the Noreen Fraser Foundation which raises funds for women's cancer research.
This basic black Beckett dress can be worn so many different ways, for so many different occasions. I love that it easily can be dressed up with maybe some leopard heels and pretty jewelry, or dressed down with riding boots or booties and a colorful scarf. If black isn't your color, it comes in navy, green, and turquoise too!
If you don't own this scarf yourself, most of you have already seen it all over the blogosphere but that's because this plaid scarf is so great to tie together any fall outfit! I wore mine on Sunday when the temperatures dropped a little bit and it is so warm and cozy, I know it'll be making many appearance this fall/winter!
Another candle I know but recently I have loved lighting this one and the pumpkin souffle candle for some extra fall-ness in my apartment! Rewined Candles are made in Charleston from recycled wine bottles so I love to support a unique local company!
I love Sperry's take on the classic Duck Boot that L.L. Bean has made so popular! I have a pair of Rubber Moc Bean Boots that I got in college and though I've wanted to get a taller pair because I like that look better, I feel silly buying something so similar (color and style wise) to what I already have... enter Sperry's Saltwater Duck Boots in pink! I love that these are so fun and bright so when I'm wearing these when it's miserable out, I can still have a little pop of color!
Haymarket Designs always has some of the cutest personalized things for the holidays, and right now they have lots of cute Halloween items for entertaining or decoration. Since they are personalized (you can get most of their things monogrammed!) they take a couple weeks so the sooner you order the better!
Unlike most girls, I'm not a huge fan of Pumpkin Spiced Lattes but I DO like some pumpkin coffee every now and then so it's nice to have some convenient for those cooler fall mornings!
Bloomingdale's Friends & Family sale is on now, which means 20% off of some of your favorite brands with code FRIENDS. I've handpicked some of my favorite staples for fall and have done the math so you can see what each item would cost with the discount! Can you tell I've been loving some leopardprint lately?! These Reva flats are at the top of the my wish-list but unfortunately Bloomy's is out of my size. I love the classic look of this Ralph Lauren satchel, and think it would look great with one of these plaid scarves and boots for an easy pulled together fall look!
Hope you all enjoy your long Labor Day Weekend! I'm off to a bachelorette party at the beach with some girlfriends, I can't wait to get there and celebrate one of my oldest friends!
Don't forget about these great sales happening this weekend that won't last long!
I'm back for day TWO of the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale! There are SO many great steals still available including some of these gorgeous maxi dresses shown below- almost all are under $100!
The image is shop-able so just click on the dress in the photo to be taken right to the site!
The big Lilly Pulitzer sale is HERE!! It started at 8am this morning and I've already bought way too many things but at these great prices, it's hard not too! If you're shopping, I would advise placing multiple orders and shop quickly- items sell out very very quickly, so if there's something you want, go ahead and buy it as soon as you can - you can place as many orders as you want because they're offering free shipping!
Here are a few of my favorite Lilly pieces that are included in the sale:
I've searched high and low for a great pineapple lamp and this one is one of my favorites. Also doesn't hurt that it's currently 25% off until August 15th!
This embroidered summer dress is a great throw-on dress for everyday wear, and it's part of the Tory Burch Private Sale, so it's currently on sale for $99!
Love the fun pattern and bright colors in this "Electric Feel" print and the Elsa top is a great top to have in your closet. It's a great transitional piece to wear with white jeans now and leggings and boots when the weather gets cooler!
These booties look like they would be another perfect transitional shoe for fall. I love the light tan color and the fact that there is a bow on the back!
Despite being at the bottom of this list, these Kendra Scott Earrings are at the very top of my wish-list! I have been loving my Kendra Scott pieces lately and these earrings would be a great staple to wear with almost any outfit!
This weekend Mackenzie Horan, owner of of one of my favorite online boutiques Design Darling, is turning 25 and is having a site-wide sale to celebrate! Use code BIRTHDAYBASH to receive 25% off any of her items. I've picked some of my favorite below and just ordered this Loren Hope neon pink cuff that I've had my eye on! I also am loving these Lisi Lerch Turquoise Tassel Earrings that would be such a fun touch to any outfit and of course these Monogram Earrings that would make a great jewelry staple for any monogram lover!
Earlier this week I was at a nail salon that had The Other Woman on while we all got our mani/pedis! I had never seen the movie and caught it in the middle, but for only seeing the second half and only being able to read the closed captions, I thought it was pretty funny! I think my favorite part of the movie was the fashion and distinctly different styles that each of the women had. Kate, played by Leslie Mann, had a very preppy "50's housewife" kind of style with lots of J.Crew pieces that I recognized and even some Lilly! Cameron Diaz's style was more modern but still classic- I always love a good pair of white jeans, which she wore often in this movie. Amber, Kate Upton's character, was obviously the younger more trendy woman, with a casual All-American kind of look while she rocked her cutoff shorts.
This loose weave striped sweater was probably one of my favorite looks from Cameron Diaz, and though the exact sweater is sold out- I've found some similar ones that are equally as cool and casual looking for sipping wine out on a beach front porch.
