DIY Double Duty Door Hanger

It's fun to have decor for every season, except for that part where favorite pieces need to be stored for the other eleven months of the year.  Wouldn't it be nice if door hangers pulled some double duty?  'Remember this darling kissing booth sign?  

Trashy 90's Makeover

Does anyone remember the 90's?  Tall bangs and permed hair were all the rage.  Being someone who has naturally crazy curls as well as a cow lick in the middle of my forehead, that was a great style for me!  I pretty much wake up like that!  Is there anything you miss about the 90's?

Of course I am talking when the group photo was snapped.  Anyway...  These little classes are such fun!  You get to create and take home a completed canvas in just a few hours.

We began by using a mix of browns and black to make our canvas look a bit like wood.

Next was filling in the edges to create the shape of my home state, Arkansas, along with a heart to show which area I am from.  Yep!  Northwest corner.  ;-)

If I had my lettering to do over again, I would move the bottom "home" down just about half an inch.

Then we were given instructions on highlights and low lights.  Here's my masterpiece!  ;-)

I love how we all followed the same directions, but had slightly different results.  This is one I think I could do on my own and would like to try something similar at home!  Stay tuned!
