Other: Coastal Cabana-Daffodil Delight-Old Olive Blendabilities,

I wouldn't of normally combined these of colors but they look great! I always admire the way my fellow Nacho designers create with the color challenges, they always inspire me!

Di's Country INKers June Blog Hop!

Hello Stampers! Welcome to the June edition of Di's Country INKers blog hop! We are super excited to share with you our creations featuring NEW items from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Catalog, which will officially go live tomorrow afternoon!  It's going to be a fun catalog year with all the new items!

It seems these days a popular thing to do, if you're expecting a baby is to have "gender reveal" parties. In other words, letting everyone know at once what the sex of your baby is.  So I was inspired to create a "gender reveal" card. Everything on my card is either new or current (being carried over into the new catalog) so if you would like to recreate this card, you can!

This is the front of my card, the base is Baked Brown Sugar layered with Pistachio Pudding and new DSP called Lullaby!

And when you open it up, here is the surprise!

I decorated all the panels on the inside of my card with a more girly theme:

I learned how to create this Unique Gatefold card by watching a video from Dee Slater. Lots of possibilities with this style of card! Love the way it came out!

Up next is the super talented Crystal!  She always amazes me! Isn't her project awesome!

If you get lost, don't worry, below are the links to everyone's blogs:

Sketch Frenzy Friday Swap!

Hello Stampers!  Wow, I can't believe it's Friday already!  Don't get me wrong, I'm happy it is!  It's been a long work week for me! I'm looking forward to the weekend!

I have another swap to share with you today!  This one is the one I created for our swap with Diana Gibbs and Rhonda Morgan. We had to make 20 swaps and the theme was feminine.

The Designers at Sketch Frenzy Friday have a great sketch that really caught my eye and I decided to play along with them this week.

Here is my take on their sketch:

With all our DSP retiring to make room for all the new DSP, I decided to make my own. I was so happy when I saw that the Hardwood Background stamp is in the new catalog! Actually, all the stamp sets and accessories I used on this card are in the new catalog! Whew!

I stamped the Hardwood stamp with VersaMark onto Sahara Sand card stock, to create a subtle background. The Regarding Dahlia is stamped in Rich Razzleberry. My color scheme for this card is Rich Razzleberry, Strawberry Slush, Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake. Do you think this is a feminine card?

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a fabulous Friday and a super weekend!  Come back on Sunday when I share my creation for our new Sunday Stamps color challenge.

Nacho Crush!

Happy Tuesday Stampers! Hope your week is going well!  We have a fun new color challenge for you at Nacho Average Challenges, and it's one of my favorites! We hope you will join us this week and share your creations with us!

I created another interlocking framelits card. Remember this card from two Nacho challenges ago...well I was inspired to create another one. This time using the On Film framelits. I've been having fun using this technique and I have a couple of swaps I'm working on that I think I will create something similar to this. Have you tired this technique yet?

I'm having fun decorating the inside of my cards lately, adds an extra touch. I also have enough space to write a personal note.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a great week!

New Sunday Stamps Sketch

Hello Stampers! So sorry for my late post for our current Sunday Stamps sketch.  Hope you had a wonderful Easter yesterday.  We hosted Easter at our house and we were super busy!  It was quite a feast! So my Sunday Stamps post is up on a Monday! :)

Anyhow, Hayley has a fun new sketch for us to try out. We hope it inspires you to create along with us!

Here is what I created:

I used the Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags in a different way, I just cut them out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Until next time!

Sunday Stamps Card in a Box

Good morning Sunday Stampers!  We have a beautiful color challenge for you starting today starting at Sunday Stamps! We hope it will inspire you to create with us! The Stampin' Up! colors I used are Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette. You have until Friday, April 18th at 6 pm EST to play along.

Here is how the color inspired me:

You have probably been seeing these around the web a lot lately.  It's called a Card in a Box. Splitcoast Stampers has a tutorial for their Pop-Up Card Box here, which is very similar to the one I created. I however, followed the instructions shared by a fellow Stampin' Up! Demo, Brianna Thompson.  Her tutorial can be found here.  Thanks Brianna for the great instructions!

So this the front view of my card below:

This is the right side. I inked up the Just Sayin' stamp set from the Occasions catalog and used the coordinating Word Bubbles framelits. My clouds are from the cupcake punch.

This is the left view of my card:

This is what it looks like folded up.  You can see I used a lot of layers on my card.

I included a piece of Whisper White so that this is where I will write my note. So what do you think, pretty cool, no? Once you make one of these cards, you'll want to start making more. For me, that's great, as I'll use up more of my supplies! Remember-I'm trying to ink up stamp sets I haven't used in awhile and use up my supplies before the new catalog arrives!

Thanks for visiting my blog today, hope you will visit again. Until next time.

Sunday Stamps Banner Love

Happy Sunday Stampers! Ready to play along with a new sketch at Sunday Stamps? I'm hosting for the next two weeks and I'm continuing my love of banners. We hope it'll inspire you to play along with us, we can wait to see what you create.

Here is what I created:

A slight variation on my sketch, but that's the fun in creating. My card base is Blushing Bride layered with Read Red card stock. Just in time for Valentine's Day.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.

Wish Big Nachos!

Happy Tuesday Stampers! If you had a three day weekend, hope you wonderful day off yesterday. Did you do any crafting yesterday? I had big plans to create all day long, but I woke up with a sore throat and a big headache, so I just rested.

We have a fun new sketch for you today at Nacho Average Challenges. Hope it inspires you to take  out your stamping tools and create something awesome.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I initially struggled with this one at first but then I decided to keep it simple. The base of my card is Soft Sky card stock. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful soft blue, hence the name right! I layered it with Smoky Slate card stock. I used the Tasteful Trim Bigz die to create my waves, which were cut out in Pool Party. I stamped the splatter in Island Indigo and sponged the sides a bit. The stars (from the Perfect Pennants stamp set) are inked in Crushed Curry and I cut out each one. The Wish Big sentiment is the perfect size for my card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Until next time.

Sunday Stamps Pink!

Happy Sunday Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well!  It's been a busy one for me, but fun.

We have a fun new color challenge for you at Sunday Stamps starting today. Thanks to all of you who continue to play along with us, we love seeing your creations! I continue to be in awe of my fellow Sunday Stamps designers and their creations. I hope their creations inspire you to join us for this challenge.

The Stampin' Up! colors I used are; Night of Navy, Strawberry Slush and Silver Glimmer paper. This color combo inspired me to create my own stationary! It sounds elementary, but when I first saw the color combo, I didn't know what I was going to create.  Then I remembered I had created some stationary for my friend as a birthday gift and I really liked the end result.  I am a paper crafter after all, so creating stationary is another item in our paper world.  I also liked these flat front cards because, sometimes when I create a full size card I don't have that much to write. Ever have that problem?  These are perfect to send and write a quick note. I'm excited to create more of my own stationary in different colors and designs. What about you, have you ever made your own stationary?

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great Sunday!  Looking forward to seeing your creations. Until next time.

Techno Stamper Sketch

Happy Sunday Stampers! Hope your weekend is going well.  So far so good, we went to a Rockabilly show yesterday and my good friend won 3rd place in the Pinup contest.  I still have to put away all my Christmas decorations and tree away,  but I probably won't do that until next weekend. I woke up today feeling a bit under the weather so I've just been lounging and resting but I hope I don't get sick.

Anyhow, Mary Jo from Tecnho Stamper has a great sketch that I wanted to create with. Lots of possibilities with this one but definitely a great one for Valentine's Day!

Here is my take on the sketch. Not quite Valentine's Day but the colors are, lol.

I'm loving the Fresh Prints DSP Stack! Love the DSP designs in it. Thanks for stopping by today, until next time.

For you...

Happy Monday Stampers! Can't believe it is already the last week of 2013! Really, last few days of 2013! Wow, what a year. It's been a nice restful weekend and I'm glad I had some time to create.

I'm participating in a new blog challenge today, Fusion Card Challenge although I only used the sketch, gotta love those banners! Lots of inspiration on their site.

I also followed both challenges from The Friday Maashup!, the color combo and using bling.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
Create a project using the colors "Real Red, Gumball Green, Bermuda Bay & Crumb Cake."
Create a project with some "Glimmer/Shimmer/Bling. "
Or Mash it Up and create a project "Real Red, Gumball Green, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake & Glimmer."

Here is my take on both challenges:

Hope you're not getting tired of me using the Best of Sale-A-Bration stamp set, lol. I do like all the images in this set.  I turned the sketch horizontal.

Below are all the images from this set.

Thanks for stopping by today, until next times.

Another Fab Friday Mashup!

Hi Stampers!  Welcome back!  Oh my goodness am I super excited to share my creation with you today!! I combined two blog challenges into one for my card.  The color challenge from Fab Friday and the design challenge at The Friday Mashup. This is my second time combining both challenges, it must be something about Fridays!  I was challenged by both blogs and so happy that I was, my creative mojo got a great boost!

I used a technique called scherenschnitte stamping and I found the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.  I hate to admit that this was the first time I inked up the stamp set called Forest Friends, even though it is now retired.  When I first got the stamp set I had an idea of what I wanted to use it for, but I never got around to it, until now.  So glad I remembered I have this set and that I never got rid of it!

I LOVE HOW THIS CAME OUT!!!  I'm so proud of myself. Wanna hear something funny, it took me longer to cut out the polaroid frame!  It kept tearing and tearing...I finally had to glue it very carefully.  Cutting out the deer and the bunny was easier! LOL.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with a "Game/Woodsy type Animal (Deer, Moose, Turkey, etc). "
  2. Create a project using a "Woodgrain look. "
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a "project with Woodgrain and a Woodsy animal image. "

I always appreciate receiving comments on my blog, let me know if you have tried this technique before or if you have a retired stamp set you just inked up for the first time!

Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time!
