Special Happy Birthday Card

Hi Crafters and Bakers! Today I made a card off of some cookies my cousin made.

So what makes this a Special birthday card? The cookies I chose are from the COVER of her COOKIE BOOK!!! How AWESOME is that???? Here is the cover:

You can also buy her book, which is a Top 5 cookie book w/ Amazon by the way, on her blog: http://www.lilaloa.com

Here is the card that I made off of those cookies:

It's a simple card but I thought turned out cute.  I still feel like there is still too much white space but I didn't know what else to add.  Maybe I should have chosen a designer paper for the background instead of all white.  Next time...  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Episode 104: Bright Cupcake Card

It's the first Wednesday of the month which means it's time for the Simply Crafts challenge.  If you haven't heard of this challenge it's a specific Cricut cut challenge that Glora and I did together but others wanted to be involved as well so we opened it up to other crafters.  The cut for this challenge is the cupcake cut w/ the heart on it from the Sweet Treats cartridge.  Here is my version of this cut:

There is a giveaway for this challenge.  We are giving away Die Cuts, Chipboard, Flower Market and Glitter Charms from the Girls' Paperie Paper Girl collection.  To be eligible for this giveaway you need to submit a project over at the Simply Crafts blog.

Be sure to head on over to the Simply Crafts site to participate in this challenge and to see Gloras project.  I've already seen it and it is so adorable!

Episode 41: MPS Design Team - Princesa!

When I got Robyn's new stamp set called 'Spanish Sayings' I was excited to try them out.  Now, I don't speak Spanish but I knew it would be fun.  :)  The sayings on these stamps are the same sayings on the Everyday Life stamp set, which I love.

The project I wanted to make is a Princess birthday project.  So I made a Princess card and a little gift bag to go with it.

For those that don't speak Spanish it says 'Princess' on the front and 'Have a Happy Birthday' on the inside.

Make sure you head on over to Robyn My Pink Stampers blog to see her and the other design team members projects.

Card Recipe:
My Pink Stampers Spanish Sayings stamp set
Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge - the medallion & the treat bag
Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge - The crown
SU! Cardstock
DCWV Nana's Kids paper pack
Polka Dot Cuttlebug Embossing folder
Fruit Punch Stickles
Random green ribbon
Pink Bling brads

YAY Summer!

Here is a card I made for my brother who is in Florida right now. The inside towels are a joke. The point of it was he is on bikes in Florida and when he went to an appointment he was so wet from the humidity and heat the lady offered him a towel. Too funny. :) (Ignore the handwriting on the inside, my handwriting is poo w/ this white pen)

The ice cream sundae is from the Sweet Treats cartridge. I cut off the candle because I didn't like the look of it. I used UTEE on the syrup cuts to make it look like actual syrup. Well, that was what I was going for anyways. The YAY SUMMER! stamp was made using a CTMH alphabet stamp set. There is no name on the package so I don't know which one. I like it though. :) The towel rack with towels is from the Sweethearts cartridge.

I used the hide contour feature A LOT on my Gypsy for this card. LOVE IT! It helps so I don't have to cut things that don't need to be cut. Definitely recommend this nice little tool.

Thanks for looking!

MPS Challenge #2: Using Scraps

I needed to make a birthday card for my SIL and her favorite color combination are pink and brown together. So I opened up my PTI folders and lo and behold I had a ton of cut down papers in these colors. Perfect!

This is my favorite present cut. It is just the cutest! It is from the Sweet Treats cartridge. The paper is from PTI. I used a Signo white uni-ball pen for the white stitching. I also used the Spots & Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Thanks for looking! Hope you participate in the My Pink Stamper challenge!

Happy Birthday Uncle Bill

I made this card for my Uncle Bill who likes to fish. I'm not really sure on the color combination. I tried to make the present have the colors of a fish and then I did the background and it just didn't blend like I thought it would. Luckily he's an older male and probably won't notice. :)

I used the Sweet Treats cartridge for the present. The embossed "woods" is from the Cuttlebug Forest Branches embossing folder. The stamps I used for the fishing pole and the water is from the Close to My Heart 'Worlds Best Dad' stamp set. All of the paper and ribbon are from PTI.
