Winter Is For The Birds

Hi everyone! Today is my day to share over at My Craft Spot blog. Here is a quick and simple card I created with the newly released *Think Snow* stamp set. 

I created the tag for sentiment using the *Tiny Doilies*
metal dies set. I actually cut felt with the metal dies for a fun
look. I thought with all the snow it could use a little warmth. :)
The felt I used came from a paper store that is now out of business,
so I can't recommend that store, but I can recommend what type of felt
to look for if you go shopping for some. One thing I noticed while I was cutting the felt is,
that the thinner felt worked best. I had a couple of different types of felt on hand,
the thinner felt really cut nice and crisp. I didn't have any little fibers to cut with
scissors after running it through my Cuttlebug.

Here is a closer look at the cute sentiment *Winter is for the birds*
from the new stamp set *Think Snow* by My Craft Spot.
I added a wood button with some brown jute-I LOVE the new jute!

The birds are cut from the Winter Woodland cartridge at 1.35".
I sized them with my Gypsy. The tree is also from the Winter Woodland
cartridge cut at 3.50".

My Craft Spot New Stamp Release-Blog Hop

What a week of inspiration and fun! Today is the big official release, when all of the new stamp sets will be revealed and available for purchase over at My Craft Spot blog. For the blog hop I made a set of *Santa Paws* gift bags:

All of my girls and their cousins love dogs, so *Santa Paws*
seemed like the perfect theme for my gift bags. I bought the
actual craft bags from Michael's and then decorated them with
puppies form the new Create a Critter cartridge.

Of course, no bag is complete without a tag, so
I made some tags using the new stamp sets *Mistletoe* and
*Stampin' around Christmas* by My Craft Spot.

My little Yorkie, *Snickers*, is from the CAC2
cartridge cut at 4.50" The puppies cut with the
pointed ears need to be cut an inch smaller than
the puppies with the floppy ears. 

I tied a bell with some cherry red traditional
bakers twine--it's a little thinner and easier to thread the
bells. All of the faces were created with Peachy Keen
Everyday Character Face Parts 7-9 inches.

*Dottie* is from the CAC2 cartridge cut at 5.50".
the HO HO HO's are cut at 2.25" from the same cartridge.

*Husky* was cut at 4.50". I added a little
blue to the eyes. :) 

*Goldie* was cut at 5.50".

*Jenna* was named after our own Bichon.

I didn't think they could get any cuter until I saw them
wobble. :) Now they wobble and jingle.

Lots of great sentiments--this will be a go to set for me this holiday. I used the *Merry & Bright* for my card--use some bling and stickles and anything can be merry and bright. :)

will be available to purchase this Saturday-the official release day.
This cute sentiment fits nicely on a tag cut from the *Tiny Tags*
metal dies by My Craft Spot. I tied the tag on my card using the
new brown jute.

New Stamp Release Day #4- Think Snow

Welcome to day four of the New Stamp Release Party. Today we are sharing a sneak peek of the new stamp set *Think Snow*. Lots of cute sentiments!! Now,when I think of snow, I think of Sammy playing in the snow...

*Snowbody warms my heart like you!* Awww! What a sweet
sentiment for the new stamp set *Think Snow*.  The snowman is
from the Winter Frolic cartridge cut at 3.00". The little girl
was cut at 2.75". The girl is actually the ice skater with the boy
throwing snow's pants and feet.

If you look closely you can see the glitter paper I cut
with the *Tiny Doilies* metal dies.

New Stamp Release Day #3-Joy To The World

Welcome back to day three of the week long stamp release party for My Craft Spot. Today we are sharing a sneak peek of the new stamp set *Joy To The World. This set is filled with wonderful sentiments and created with beautiful fonts. Here is my project:

Don't you love the beautiful font used for the *Merry Christmas* sentiment.
I cut the wreath from the new Create A Critter 2 cartridge cut
at 3.50". The bow was tied with wine seam binding from My Craft Spot.
I stitched a border with my sewing machine and inked the edges.

For the inside of my card I stamped * We wish you a Merry Christmas
filled with Joy & Love* for the new stamp set *Joy To The World*.
So pretty!
