Lochlyn Shawl is a triangular shawl knit sideways. The shawl is rich in texture and colorwork but easy to knit. The two colorways used are simply alternated every two rows, with only one color used per row. The broken garter pattern and the color changes are uncomplicated but interesting to work. A deep, garter stitch border finishes off this soft and tactile wrap.

If you would like a cowl instead, check out Lochie Cowl pattern.

The pattern includes both Charts and written instruction.

The shawl is easily adjustable to any size.

The sample shown, blocked: 62 inches X 24 inches deep.

Yarn used in the sample: Color A - 2 skeins Tosh DK in Glazed Pecan; Color B - 1 skein Tosh DK in Shire

Yardage requirements for the size shown:

Color A - 334m/362yds and Color B - 189m/205yds

Color A is used for the solid lines running through the shawl, as well as for the single color garter stitch border.

Many thanks to innersparkle for test knitting this pattern for me.
