Wear double act any which way you please – there really is no right or wrong way to drape this versatile poncho – sideways or traditional poncho style, ribbing to the front, mosaic to the back or reverse.

double act is made up by two joined rectangles – one knitted in a mosaic pattern, the other in a simple mistake rib.
The completed rectangles are joined with 3-needle bind offs using live and picked up stitches. (It makes for a quite beautiful join.)

The knitting is both interesting and easy. Alright, so the mosaic pattern requires a little more focus, but is worked in pairs of rows and just one colour at a time. If you cast on for both rectangles you can alternate between them as your knitting mood dictates.

There are charts along with fully written out instructions, photo tutorials and a schematic.

Colour A (Catbells/brown) : 3 skeins – 900 m (990 yds)
Colour B (Hadrian’s Wall/dark grey): 1 skein – 300 m (330 yds)
