Bright Above Me is a circular yoked colorwork sweater worked seamlessly in the round from the top down.
Stitches are cast on for the neckline, after which the colorwork yoke is worked. After finishing the yoke chart, a few short rows are added to heighten the back neck a little (entirely optional!), before dividing the body and sleeves. Body and sleeves are each worked separately from the top down.

If you’re not a fan of colorwork, you can work the yoke textured as well. Simply purl all the sts that would be using the contrasting color!

Yarn used:
MC: Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (100% wool), 128 m / 140 yards per 50g, 7-7-8-9-10-11 skeins. Colorway: “Cast Iron”.
CC: Hjelholts Uldspinderi Håndværksgarn (100% wool), 200 m / 219 yards per 100g, 1-1-1-2-2-2 skeins. Colorway: Yellow.
You can of course also use another color of Shelter as CC, 2-2-2-3-3-3 skeins would be needed.

Needles: 4 mm / US 6 circulars, 80 cm / 32 inches.
3,5 mm / US 4 circulars for rib.
optional: Double pointed needles in both sizes for sleeves and neckline.

Gauge: Sample uses gauge of 18,5 sts & 22 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches in regular and stranded stockinette stitch.
Note that your gauge might change when changing from stranded colorwork to one color stockinette stitch. I usually go down a needle size for the one color stockinette stitch in order to match the gauge – swatching both colorwork and regular stockinette stitch is recommended to ensure you’re using the right needle size for each.
