Only famous rappers and hip hop artists

Featuring SoundCloud rappers who went mainstream to YouTubers who also rap (sort of), this is the definitive list of the worst rappers of all time. For every decent, innovative rapper out there, there are several copycat artists that bring nothing to the table. Below, you'll find who many feel are the worst of the worst in the genre. Sure, these best of and worst of lists are subjective, but plenty of us can agree on who the wack rappers are. What some feel is the bottom of the barrel, you might think is pretty great. On the other hand, rappers like Vanilla Ice, Marky Mark, and The Insane Clown Posse have been, for the most part, universally panned over the years. Sales have nothing to do with it either. While researching this list we’ve discovered there are some million-selling artists like Iggy Azalea, Drake and Nikki Minaj that are pretty polarizing among hip hop aficionados.

We need your input. Who, to you, is the worst rapper out there? Who is the worst white rapper? Which artist made the stupidest rap ever? Who do you think are the 100 worst rappers, or even the top 10? Take a look at the list of bad rappers below and cast your votes accordingly. And, if you need a chaser after this list, dive into the best new hip hop with our list of 2020's top rap songs.

Though primarily known for his pop career, this singer's occasional forays into rap were met with widespread derision due to his lack of authenticity and lyrical depth. His attempts at displaying genuine emotion often came across as forced or insincere, while his reliance on clichéd themes only further diminished any potential appeal. Ultimately, this artist's inability to forge a unique identity or display genuine talent within the rap genre has left him languishing among its most reviled figures.

Though initially gaining fame for his viral dance moves and catchy hooks, this rapper's subsequent output was characterized by generic beats and uninspired lyrics that failed to engage listeners or showcase any technical skill. His reliance on gimmicks and internet trends did little to endear him to the hip-hop community, who quickly dismissed his music as a shallow cash grab rather than genuine artistic expression. In the end, this artist's inability to evolve or display any real rapping ability has earned him a prominent spot among the genre's most forgettable figures.

Though initially gaining fame for her charismatic personality and catchy hooks, this rapper's lack of lyrical depth and reliance on ghostwriters quickly earned her notoriety within the hip-hop community. Her controversial behavior outside of music further alienated her from fans and critics alike, who viewed her antics as a desperate attempt to maintain relevance rather than genuine artistic growth. Ultimately, this artist's inability to offer anything of substance in her music has solidified her status as one of rap's most glaring cautionary tales.

Miley Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, has carved a distinctive niche in the entertainment industry. Daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, her journey began with an early exposure to music and acting, which became the foundation for her soaring career. Known for her versatile talent, Miley transitioned from being a Disney star to a global pop sensation, all while making headlines with her bold personality and unapologetic stance on various societal issues. Cyrus's career kick-started in 2004, when she beat out a thousand hopefuls to land the leading role of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. The show, which aired from 2006 to 2011, catapulted her to fame, and she quickly became a teen idol. Her success as Hannah Montana led to a series of soundtrack albums, concert tours, and merchandise, solidifying her status as a Disney sensation. However, it was her decision to step away from her wholesome image that marked a significant turning point in her career. In 2008, Cyrus released her first non-Hannah Montana album, Breakout, which paved the way for her transition into a more mature sound. Her subsequent albums, including Bangerz (2013) and Plastic Hearts (2020), showcased her evolution as an artist, incorporating elements of pop, country, hip hop, and rock. Throughout her career, Cyrus has faced criticism for her provocative image and performances, but she has remained resolute in expressing her artistic vision and advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, animal rights, and mental health awareness. Despite the controversies, she has amassed numerous awards and accolades, cementing her place as one of the most influential figures in pop culture.
