- BBC World News is the BBC's international news and current affairs television channel. It has the largest audience of any BBC channel, with an estimated 76 million viewers weekly in 2014. Launched on 11 March 1991 as BBC World Service Television outside Europe, its name was changed to BBC World on 16 January 1995 and to BBC World News on 21 April 2008. - Boomerang is a 24-hour cable television channel owned by Turner Broadcasting System, a unit of Time Warner broadcasting in all Latin America. Initially it was focused on classical series and shows, as the Latin American version of Boomerang from the United States. In 2006, it relaunched as the Latin American and Brazilian version of POGO from India, marketed mainly on children. In 2008 it relaunched again with its own original identity and programming, focused on teen-oriented programming with original and syndicated series and movies. On 21 January 2014, Discovery then became majority shareholder in the Eurosport venture with TF1, taking a 51% share of the company. Eurosport owns a wide range of rights across many sports but generally does not bid for premium priced rights such as those to major football leagues. It transmits much of the same footage across many markets, using unseen commentators rather than on screen presenters so that the same visual feed may be broadcast in multiple languages while holding down production costs. The network of channels is available in 54 countries, in 20 different languages providing viewers with European and international sporting events. Eurosport first launched on European satellites on 5 February 1989.

NRJ 12 is a French television network established in 2005. It is available through digital terrestrial television "TNT". Besides TNT, it is also available on cable, satellite, la xDSL television and online on the internet. NRJ 12 was not the first venture of NRJ group in television. NRJ Group had invested alongside Gilbert Gross, Gaumont and Publicis in the French musical channel TV6, in February 1986. The station had to stop broadcasting on 28 February 1987 after the French government headed by Jacques Chirac gave the licence to another station called M6. The new venture was originally called NRJ TV. - VH1 is an American cable television network based in New York City. It launched on January 1, 1985, in the old space of Turner Broadcasting's short-lived Cable Music Channel. The original purpose of the channel was to build on the success of MTV by playing music videos, but targeting a slightly older demographic than its sister channel, focusing on the lighter, softer side of popular music. The channel was originally created by Warner-Amex Satellite Entertainment, at the time a division of Warner Communications and owner of MTV. Both VH1 and its sister channel MTV are part of the MTV Networks division of corporate parent Viacom Media Networks. While VH1 occasionally plays music videos and the Top 20 Video Countdown, its recent claim to fame has been in the area of music-related reality programming, such as Behind the Music, the I Love… series, the Celebreality block of programming, and the channel's overall focus on popular culture. This channel is a sister channel to VH1. The network originally played only videos but currently has a more varied line-up of music-themed programs. This includes themed compilation shows of music videos and concert footage, such as music videos focused on Heavy Metal music or on music of the 1980s, music documentaries such as the Classic Albums series, music themed movies, and full length concerts. They also rebroadcast programs first shown on the main VH1 channel, including Pop-Up Video and I Love the '80s. Hosts of the network include Amy Scott, Eddie Trunk, Lynn Hoffman, and Mark Goodman. Virgin 17 was a French music video and TV show television network owned by the MCM Group, a subsidiary of Lagardère Active. It was available through digital terrestrial television in France, "TNT". The channel was created for the launch of TNT and modelled after MCM, another channel owned by Lagardère Active. It initially had the working title "iMCM", but before launch it was named after the radio station Europe 2, and was then renamed Virgin 17 in 1 January 2008 From 1 September 2010, Virgin 17 changed its name to Direct Star. This change was intended by the Bolloré Group "for the sake of the uniform group" . The TV channel has been broadcast free to air via satellite Hot Bird 8 up to 2007-11-21. Now it's Viaccess encrypted and available to TPS subscribers as well as on Internet television. On 1 September 2010 Direct Star replaced Virgin 17.Voyage

W9 is a French television network which is available through digital terrestrial television TNT, satellite and ADSL. It is a subsidiary of the M6 Group; the name W9 has been selected for the channel because "W9" is the mirror image of "M6", and also because M6 was chosen as the ninth broadcaster to make a channel. The third M6 channel was named 6ter as the M6's little sister.XXL
