Robot Fun!
Hello there! I am excited to say that I am hosting this week's Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge, it's a special one, 300 challenges! I love this sketch, it's been one of my favorites for years. You can dress it up or dress it down, go CAS or full out, it's your choice. Grab your provisions, create something fun for your chance to be a PALS pick.
I needed a card for my nephew, and since my son Tate loves to draw robots, they are all over the house. I thought that his drawings would be great inspiration for Evan's card and went to work.
I still love punch art after all these years, digital cutters included. It's so satisfying to punch out shapes and make them into something entirely different. I used oval punches and framelits for the majority of the robot, with the exception of the hands, which are circle punches.
Pretty petals DSP stack has a lot of colors, this pacific point blue seemed perfect for him.
Of course the robot needs to hold a Happy Birthday banner, courstesy of the Happy Happenings stamp set and itty bitty banners framelits.
Mini silver brads accent the feet and the shoulders, making him more like a real robot.
Texture is key! You can mix and match for a detailed look. Large polka dots and the honeycomb embossing folders work well together.
Ahh, this card, I love it so! Bold bright colors, punch art, texture, what more can you ask for? I would love to see what you come up using my sketch. The design team has created some fabulous samples for you, head on over to look, and make sure you play along!
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired, enjoy!
