Tonight I have the newest collection from The Nail Junkie to show you - the Fairy Tale Collection.

This line consists of 4 all new glitter polishes - descriptions from the maker...

Unicorn - A bright and shimmery glitter topcoat polish made up of 5 different shades of neon hex glitter and a dash of holographic micro glitter.

Mermaid - An oceanic micro glitter polish made of turquoise, sea foam green and white iridescent micro glitters. This polish can be layered over another polish but looks just perfect alone.

Fairy - A whimsical and fun glitter topcoat full of silver hex glitter, pink stars, purple stars and a dash of holographic micro glitter.

Wizard - A positively magical glitter topcoat that instantly transforms on the nail. Wizard is a blend of bar, hex and micro iridescent glitters that take on a new life when applied over your polish.

I love these for a couple of reasons. 1) It gets me over my fear of "jelly sandwiches" 2) I can do a jelly sandwich without glitter and 3) It hides the imperfections in my stamping! So...BIG shout out to Jennifer of 4Boys 1Mom! What a fantastic idea!

Last year, Aleta, creator of The Nail Junkie polishes, released a few of her shimmer jellies. One of which made my Best of 2012 list - Grape. You can see my post on that the others by clicking on the image in the photo below.

Strawberry is "a neon candy colored pink jelly polish that glows. It's loaded with holographic shimmer and can be worn as a build-able squishy jelly or you can layer it over glitters for a colorful "jelly sandwich". THIS SHADE IS BRAND NEW TO THIS COLLECTION!!!"

I used 3 light coats of this one alone and am showing you how it looks with and without top coat. No issues to report at all. The formula and application were perfect.

And now...Banana!

Banana is "a jelly polish in the brightest neon yellow. It's loaded with holographic shimmer and can be worn as a build-able squishy jelly or you can layer it over glitters for a colorful "jelly sandwich". This shade is from last year's collection. No changes were made."

I used 3 light coats of this one alone and am showing you how it looks with and without top coat. No issues to report at all. The formula and application were perfect. I had a difficult time capturing the true color because it's really bright! The natural lighting photos are the most color accurate.

It's loaded with holographic shimmer and can be worn as a build-able squishy jelly or you can layer it over glitters for a colorful "jelly sandwich". While Orange is not a new shade in this collection, it has been newly reformulated to give it a more neon appearance than last years shade."

I used 3 light coats of this one alone and am showing you how it looks with and without top coat. No issues to report at all. The formula and application were perfect.

So I will be showing you the next four...starting with Blueberry!

Blueberry is "a bright and vibrant electric blue jelly polish. It's loaded with holographic shimmer and can be worn as a build-able squishy jelly or you can layer it over glitters for a colorful "jelly sandwich'."

I used 3 light coats of this one alone and am showing you how it looks with and without top coat. No issues to report at all. The formula and application were perfect.

The Nail Junkie Spring Pastel Line 2013

Good evening! Tonight I have The Nail Junkie's new Spring Pastel Line to show you! This line consists of three new matte pastels to go with Daffodil, Rose and Violet - the ones she released last spring! And just a hint - at the end, there's a link for a giveaway of these polishes!


This time we have Bluebonnet, Gardenia and Green Goddess.

The formula and application on all three of these was great and I had no issues. I used two coats for full opacity and no top coat so the matte finish could shine, so to speak. The only thing I'd like to mention is that if you have any ridges or tears in your nails, buff them before applying polish. Any imperfections you see in the photos aren't the polish but imperfections in my nails that I didn't buff out.
