It looks good, but its very difficult to read. I think it's the contrast between the snowy tops, and the dark marble/obsidian floor.
It took me a really long time to understand that this was a top-down view. At first, it read like a side scroller, and I couldn't make sense of it. Maybe it's just me? Now that I see how it's supposed to be, it looks very pretty. But I'm still straining to maintain the proper perspective. Maybe it needs more depth.
I share to opiñon with shadow64 they look too "front" and not that "environment". But is a great work if is not released It deserve to be in a game
This is really pretty. I like this a lot. Thanks for sharing it. The only criticism I have (and I'm not nearly good enough to do this, so awesome work) would be that the greyish color in the snowbanks makes them feel a little bit cutout of the rest of the tiles, if that makes sense. The best example is the snow on the right side and on the lower floor. There's just a little too much contrast there for my taste.
Seriously, though, this is beautiful. If you find out the game was released, please post a link.
I like the sketchy quality myself. That's some great work on the floor reflections, looks rough & real.
"...Not sure if it was ever released."
HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW!?
It really does feel like a cold place to be! Good work!
