odometer gear
I have the broken odometer gear, as described in many threads. Two questions: At odometergear.com, they have my gear listed as a 20/30 tooth gear. But mine counts 20/29. Anyone else notice this? Also, are there any cheaper sources for this gear?
Thanks, Doug

Crap, I can't remember the site. They are here in California and I have found them via Pelican's threads. I have used them twice already and are very knowledgeable (and every persistent) about you 'counting the teeth correctly so they can send you the correct part.

Ok. PP does not have them. I ordered from odometergears.com and got a new one. However, upon installation, I have a loose metal tab, with two holes in it that I don't remember where it goes. Any body know what I am talking about. It is a separate piece, about an inch long.

Yup. Thanks! I actually figured it out after another hour! It was difficult because the part has very little function. It appears to act as a clip for the parking light stalk, to keep some vertical tension on it. I have added an arrow to the above pic. It is still amazing how helpful fellow pelicans can be.
Thanks for the response, Doug
