Whats it for ?
| OS/2 programs for Australian users, some programs may compile under Unix/Linux BUT look elsewhere for MS Windows software.
This server (ComKal.net) was originally setup in Kalgoorlie (June 1993) until it moved to Melbourne (April 1999), xcopied the original Harddisks over to new ones for the replacement server in 2007, and then to its current Perth location (21st Feb 2011).
The server very much runs itself, so all the housekeeping is done by Cron and assorted rexx scripts, there is no need for me to do anything until 2038 when the 32bit clock will stop. The only thing I do is check the logs occasionally. Unless I have a hardware failure !
This server is auto mirrored using Dsync, and Dsynced to rotating USB2 external drives every weekend. |
I have no current affiliation with IBM, just a normal love/hate relationship.

appreciated equipment and software over the years.
