Platinum-selling powerhouse Pierce The Veil — guitarist/vocalist Vic Fuentes, guitarist Tony Perry, and bassist Jaime Preciado — will release their new album The Jaws of Life on February 10, 2023 via longtime label Fearless Records. Pre-order it HERE. Today, the band has shared the visualizer for the latest single "Even When I'm Not With You." Watch it HERE.

Pierce the Veil, which Rolling Stone once described as "hyperactive, progressive post-hardcore," serve up a new track full of fuzzy guitars, massive melodic hooks, and PTV's distinct emotional heart. "Pass the Nirvana" is quite the riff fest and it marks Pierce the Veil's first new music since 2016. It was worth the wait — and then some. It is destined to become a fan favorite that the PTV faithful will scream the lyrics to at their live shows.

"'Pass the Nirvana' is about the many horrible traumas that the youth of America have endured over the past few years," says frontman Vic Fuentes about the song's powerful, relatable, and topical subject matter. "COVID, no proms, no graduations, an insurrection, school shootings. The list goes on. Their lives have been tossed around like clothes in a dryer, as the tensions within our country have infiltrated our own homes, friends, and families. To me, the song represents a euphoric detachment from all of that anxiety and stress and about finding some form of peace or nirvana."

Pierce The Veil have been an active band for the past 10 years, in which time they have gone on to tour the world, playing shows here and there, as well as write and record for four albums, which includes their latest album "Misadventures", where the band is currently on the road, touring playing it in full swing. Having further plans on touring, touring, touring, since not being able to do so for a while now. Guitarist Tony Perry discusses the band's latest album, current touring cycle and what the future holds for these California locals.

1. First of all, who are you, and what do you do in the band?

Tony: My name's Tony and I play guitar.

2. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Tony: Vic is the one that came up with the name, he heard it in college I think it was, forget which class, but it was a term for business. Basically what it is, is that piercing the veil cutting out a problem of its source of course. Before it turns into something bigger. So he liked applying that to life, relationships etc. if anything is going wrong, just to cut out those problems. At their source, before anything else can happen.

3. Why did you want to play this genre?

Tony: I can't really pick, I guess transition from different styles of music, we all grew up listening to whether it was punk, rock or hardcore stuff, it was mix of what we all liked.

4. Any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Tony: I mean, I still get nervous before shows, don't have any tips because it's never gotten any better.

5. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Tony: Hmmm the other night, a fan asked me to call him a tree. So I did and then he walked away, that was really strange and weird.

6. What do you think of your fans?

Tony: They are amazing. We've slowly grown the fan base over 10 years now, and it's so amazing how many people have stuck by us. We have done meet and greets, where we've had fans say they were 15 when first hearing us and are now 25, it's pretty crazy they have stuck with us for so long.

7. Why did you want to go and play "Misadventures" in its entirety? Will you consider doing this for any other release of yours?

Tony: Our fans are hungry for new music. We thought we were going to have the record out a lot sooner, but were kinda late on our own promises. So having them wait for so long, we just decided to give it to them, all at once and see how it goes.

8. When can we expect to see a live album or live DVD from you guys?

Tony: That I don't know. We don't have any plans in the works for that but it would be cool to do. We did do a DVD on our last touring cycle, so maybe we will do one for this cycle as well. It's still pretty early, just starting things back up again. So there's still time for something to happen.

9. You guys went on tour alongside Sleeping With Sirens quite a few times, will we be seeing you guys teaming up to tour together again or will those be the only times?

Tony: Anything is possible. I don't know where they are with their touring schedule, but hopefully we can do something together again.

10. Since you have so many albums, does it keep getting more difficult to put together a setlist?

Tony: Yeah but we are also getting longer slots to play, so it leaves room for more songs. But when playing a festival it gets harder to pick, when only having 5 songs to go with.

11.When you headline do you change things up and switch songs from show to show?

Tony: We usually stick to a solid setlist throughout the whole tour. Unless there's too many songs, then we will switch out songs from night to night, but we normally have a solid set, we play each and every night.

12. You have released several songs from the album, but when can we expect to see an official video, will the video or videos be a continuation from one another?

Tony: We just filmed a music video before this tour, so hopefully soon we can release it.

13. Out of the four albums, you guys have released, do these releases have a connection in any shape or form with one another, or does each one stand on its own?

Tony: Lyrically I guess, Vic writing about his life, so there's a connection between all of the records with that content.

14. What does next year hold for Pierce The Veil?

Tony: Just a lot of touring, touring as much as we can and see how things go, since we haven't been on the road in a while.

15. Do you have any plans on releasing an acoustic release?

Tony: There were a couple of acoustic songs released for this album, I think there are a handful on the deluxe edition of this album.

16. Do you have any last words for fans, or potential new fans?

Tony: Just to the fans we have already had, thanks for the support. For the new fans just come out on to the shows, listen to the songs and sing along with us.

California residents Piece The Veil have made a name for themselves, since releasing their third full-length album "Collide with the Sky" (2012), to prior releases "A Flair for the Dramatic" (2007) and sophomore full-length "Selfish Machines" (2010). Since their third full-length dropped four years ago, the band has been hoping across the globe, playing shows left and right, touring non-stop, only having time to write martial whilst on the road in 2013, the band pressed onward to end up with what will be their fourth album entitled  "Misadventures".

An 11-track release, 13 if you get the deluxe edition, but the standard edition comes with the 11-tracks, consisting of such already released singles as "The Divine Zero", "Texas Is Forever", and "Circles", all of which are quite catchy and enjoyable on their own, while the rest of the album, pretty much ends up being just like the previous releases in their discography. Sounding just like they have always sounded, since the beginning, and that says a lot, having been a band for 10 years now, "Misadventures" has other notable tracks such "Dive In", opening the album, is very promising, having the instrumentals and vocal chords, work well together, as each play off one another really well. The music is edgy and fast paced, while the vocal chords, creep in a scream or two, that creates the music more in-depth and adrenaline pulsing.

"Floral and Fading", "Phantom Power and Ludicrous Speed", as well as "Today I Saw the Whole World", are other notable tracks, that keeps the pulsing adrenaline going, full force, having the album round off to being just like the rest of their material, but that's a good thing, these guys have a style, that they have adapted into, and this material is more matured and fresher, if you will, making the music for a newer generation, the next generation, for listeners of the pop punk rock hardcore genre. Lyrical context side of things, the lyrics are very meaningful, as each song has its own accompanier, you can relate to the content, whether it'd be the lyrical or musical side, it's a side you can accept either way you look at it.

Piece The Veil's "Misadventures" as a whole, is what you would expect from these guys, if you have been with them since the very start, up until now, or you are a new comer, these guys shall not disappoint, plain and simple. Take on a musical journey, go on some "Misadventures" with Pierce The Veil.

Pierce the Veil, one of the fastest-rising, most electrifying artists on the music scene today, will release its hotly-anticipated new album,  Misadventures, on May 13 (Fearless Records). Misadventures  is the follow up to the band's 2012 breakthrough release, Collide with the Sky, that debuted at #12 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, held the #1 spot on the Rock, Hard Rock, and Modern Rock/Alternative Albums charts, has sold nearly 350,000 copies, and earned the band a Gold single for the track "King for a Day."

Check out the band's video announcement here  http://piercetheveil.net. The first single from Misadventures will be "Texas is Forever," a punk-flavored song that goes back to the band's roots, and, according to the band, is a song that begs to be played live.  It also happens to be the fastest song they've ever written.  "Texas is Forever" will be released on March 24.

For Misadventures, the band - Vic Fuentes/vocals, guitar, Tony Perry/guitar, Jaime Preciado/bass, and Mike Fuentes/drums - worked again with Dan Korneff who co-produced Collide and recorded at his Long Island studio Sonic Debris on and off between Summer 2014 and Summer 2015.  "It was exciting to do another record with Dan," said Vic.  "We had gotten to know him really well on 'Collide,' so there wasn't that initial period where you're trying to get to know each other.  We just dove in and started to make music right away."

Initial plans were for Misadventures to be released earlier, but touring commitments and the band's conscious decision to take their time to make the album the very best it could be, both musically and lyrically, set a different course.  Explained Vic, "We went into this record wanting to top the last one, which we try to do with every record, and we kept setting the bar higher and higher."

Vic's search for inspiration took him to a number of places to write the lyrics - New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, the Southern California mountain resort of Big Bear, Santa Barbara and Seattle.  "I wanted every song to have real meaning, and thought that in spending time in different places, I'd find new inspirations - that's exactly what happened."

The 11 songs on Misadventures find the band dealing with a variety of topics including self-worth and an individual's ability to shine, the dream of leaving everything behind while you run away with the one you truly love, the challenge of outrunning betrayal, an undefined relationship, and the horror of the 2015 Paris attacks told from a hypothesized point of view.  The track listing for Misadventures is as follows:

TRACKLISTING:

1. Dive In
2. Texas is Forever
3. The Divine Zero
4. Floral & Fading
5. Phantom Power and Ludicrous Speed
6. Circles
7. Today I Saw the Whole World
8. Gold Medal Ribbon
9. Bedless
10. Sambuka
11. Song for Isabelle

With Pierce the Veil's penchant for playing live, expect them to support Misadventures with extensive global touring.
