Alesana, who are celebrating 10 years as a unit, are starting off 2014 with a major bang, revealing two key pieces of exciting news and a major tour on the horizon.

The band has signed on with Artery Recordings to release The Decade EP on April 1, 2014.

Alesana will also embark on "The Decade Tour," which will canvas the U.S. from March 7 through April 6, hitting SxSW, South by So What and Never Say Never Festival.

For this not-to-be-missed tour, presented by Artery and Revival Recordings, Alesana will be joined by Get Scared, Hearts & Hands, Farewell My Love and Megosh. The bands will be laying waste to venues, one song and one gig at a time.

While some bands barely make it to five years, much less 10, Alesana are still going strong a decade deep into their career. With a new label and a renewed energy, the band is ready for a high-impact 2014.

Frontman Shawn Milke checked in about the flurry of exciting activity and momentum surrounding Alesana, explaining the impetus for The Decade EP and sharing a few hints about what's in store for the future, namely regarding the band's trilogy.

"Hello everyone! As many of you know we are planning on completing our trilogy very soon, but until then, we figured why wait to put out new music? We are proud to announce that we will be releasing an EP through our good friends at Artery Recordings entitled The Decade EP. In honor of Alesana having been a band for 10 years, we decided it was time to take a small break from our storytelling and write some songs about us and our experiences together as a band for the last decade: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the insane. For those of you curious about Annabel, have no fear, she will be back. But for now, let's just crank some good old fashioned rock and f---ing roll! "

Leave it to Alesana bring the good, old-fashion rock and f---king roll and to deliver an EP that encapsulates the past 10 years of existence.

Last time we spoke of Get Scared things weren't so great they had lost former frontman Nicholas Matthews to Joel Faviere to release an EP "Built For Blame, Laced With Shame" in 2012 fans were on edge with the new vocalist and new material fans wondered if this new set-up would be here to stay. As time rolled along so did the band and news spread that the return of former frontman Nicholas Matthews would be happening and it did. Several months after the EP release Nicholas Matthew would be back in Get Scared once more this time for good. After this news was said the band went ahead getting signed onto Fearless Records to begin recording their debut release with them and follow-up to 2011's "Best Kind Of Mess".  This release being called simply "Everyone's Out To Get Me".

On this second full-length release for the guys, it brings back the return to the Get Scared material just a bit here and there on tracks like "Told Ya So", "Badly Broken", "At My Worst", and "My Nightmare". The rest of the material is Get Scared essence but this release just isn't 2009's "Cheap Tricks and Theatrics " or 2010's "Get Scared".  The screams provided beforehand, just aren't at hand this time around, only very few screams are present which makes the music good but it could have been great!

The rest if the album features the classic instrumentals present before, same old guitar riffs, solos, drum tactics, is all there as it was previously. Making this release again good but it could be so much better. Get Scared's "Everyone's Out To Get Me" is a good release to listen to again and again but without the screaming energy that once was, it's just a good release nothing more nor nothing less.

Get Scared have announced that they will be releasing their new full-length, Everyone’s Out To Get Me, on November 11. The record will be produced by Erik Ron (Panic! At The Disco, Foxy Shazam, VersaEmerge) and released via Fearless Records.

The band released an EP, Build For Blame, Laced With Shame, in 2012—featuring replacement vocalist Joel Faviere—but the forthcoming album marks the return of original vocalist Nick Matthews, and will be the band’s first full-length since their 2011 debut on Universal Motown Records, Best Kind Of Mess.

TRACKLISTING:

1. Told Ya So
2. For You
3. My Nightmare
4. Badly Broken
5. At My Worst
6. Get Out While You Can
7. God Damn Liar
8. Us In Motion
9. Cunning, Not Convincing
10. The Strangest Stranger
11. Stumbling In Your Footsteps
12. When We Were Strong

We're excited to announce that we've signed to Fearless Records! See our announcement video at www.GetScaredBand.com!

"We are so incredibly excited to be part of such a great family, and cannot wait to show you our new album that will be coming out on the same label as some of our favorite bands. This is the record we have always wanted to put out and we are so thankful for the opportunity to be able to share it with the world." - Nick

Get Scared recently made an announcement letting all fans know that former frontman Nicholas Matthews had returned to the band! Now an official statement explaining how this all came to be has been given out via the band's Facebook;

OFFICIAL STATEMENT:

"Since the beginning of Get Scared we have had the most amazing and loyal fans. We all are so grateful to have all of you by our sides through all the changes we have been through.

A little under a year ago, our original singer Nicholas Matthews decided to leave the band. We were all devastated by the fall out. But due to the circumstances Nick was facing at the time, being in Get Scared was not what was best for him. What a lot of people don’t know is during the time of our 2011 headlining tour, we were told towards the beginning of the tour that our label would be dropping us. This was after they sat on the record for almost a year. All of us were very sad and frustrated and were in a tough place to communicate properly while at the same time trying to make the best of this tour for you, the fans.

When Nick left, we did not want to slow down at all. We were extremely lucky to find Joel Faviere. We jumped into moving along with Joel in Get Scared. With this new EP we had amazing possibilities ahead, but unfortunately things just never felt right within the band. We felt like we were missing something. After speaking with Nicholas for a small period of time we came to the conclusion that it was him we were missing. We went back and forth for a while contemplating how crazy the idea would be of bringing him back. We made the decision to take a risk and follow our hearts and guts. We have all been best friends for too long to hold grudges and not be in each other’s lives forever. Lloyd and Nick have been best friends since 3rd grade. We've always had the same mind set about how we imagined Get Scared to be. The chemistry we have together will never be recreated with anyone else. Nick has been and always will be our brother. We are ecstatic to have Nicholas back in Get Scared.

We want you to know that we truly love Joel, and were upfront and honest with him about our decision. We felt doing a 3-week tour with Joel, knowing in our hearts and minds we were thinking of bringing Nick back, would have been the wrong thing to do. We will support whatever he chooses to do next, and are going to be remaining friends. Nick and Joel have even hung out and we want people to know there is absolutely no drama between them. We are very stoked to be touring off of “Built For Blame, Laced With Shame” and will be playing a few songs off of this EP. We hope you all trust and support our decision, because we are going to give you everything we have so be READY!"
