I hope you are all enjoying your holiday season, and are busy with loved ones too!

Frosty's Baby Picture... {Frame it! Friday}

Frosty the Snowman printable

"I suppose it all started with the snow. You see, it was a very special kind of snow. A snow that made the happy happier, and the giddy even giddier. A snow that'd make a homecoming homier, and natural enemies, friends, natural. For it was the first snow of the season. And as any child can tell you, there's a certain magic that comes with the very first snow, especially when it falls on the day before Christmas. For when the first snow is also a Christmas snow...
Well, something wonderful is bound to happen."

-Narrator, Frosty the Snowman

Frosty the Snowman is a favorite holiday movie at our house. As such, I made this fun winter printable for this week's {Frame it! Friday} to add into our holiday decorations. I love Frosty's Baby Picture, and what to share it with all of you.

All is Calm, All is Bright... {Frame it! Friday}

Silent Night Christmas Printable

Some of my favorite moments in the holiday season come at the end of the day, when the house is still and quiet, and the lights are glowing softly. Sometimes I even listen to my favorite Christmas hymns and carols. It is a great time to sit and reflect on the birth of our Savior.
This week's {Frame it! Friday} printable is perfect to display in your home, and remind you of that precious night so long ago. I hope your holiday season is off to a great start!

Christmas Stockings

This year I made new Christmas stockings for my family. I have been planning this project for quite a while and had decided on making quilted stockings. I just love how homey and classic they look. I decided that I wanted them to coordinate but not be exactly the same so I used the same fabric for them all, but different patterns. I'd like to say I took meticulous step by step photos throughout the process, but I worked on them a little bit at a time, over the course of several months, and didn't always think to take photos. I have a newfound appreciation for all the quilters out in the world. It is a lot more challenging than you'd think, and took a lot longer than I'd expected. It was all worth it in the end though, I am in love with these new stockings!
(...and a great big thank you to my two sisters who helped me cut out linings and "think" through the assembly process, and to the sweet lady who used her embroidery machine to put our names on the cuffs for me. I couldn't have done it without you!)

Quilted Christmas Stockings

Here's all 8 of them!

This is the lining. It took me forever to figure out how to assemble everything so that I wouldn't have any exposed seams. This tutorial from Cluck Cluck Sew helped so, so much!
