Duncan is a co-founder and COO of Kognitiv Spark, based in Fredericton New Brunswick. He is directly involved in a number of high profile commercial Mixed Reality projects primarily focused in the Aerospace, Defence and Security fields. In 2018 the team at Kognitiv Spark were awarded a Microsoft Inspire award for innovation with technology, and also a NATO Innovation Challenge award for their work on use of technology to reduce cognitive burden for military decision making. Previously he has served as a regional director and latterly as a national board member for Canadian Aerospace Research and Innovation. In these roles he has provided direct advice and assistance in a number of Advanced Manufacturing areas for industrial and academic partners in Atlantic Canada, as they seek to exploit the excellent talent and innovation culture of #AtlanticCan. In his previous work Duncan was recognized for his executive leadership and mentoring skills in highly demanding environments. He is regularly asked to speak on these experiences, in addition to being invited to provide his thoughts on the adoption of Augmented Reality at technology and trade events.
