MIAT Mongolian Airlines allows transporting pet animals (only dogs, cats) in the cabin(PETC) or the baggage compartment (AVIH) depending on weight, size of animal.

Reservation

There should be SSR code PETC/AVIH with weight of animal with kennel and kennel dimensions confirmed on passenger reservation.

Passenger responsible for submitting all documents of animal, such as health certificates and passports, among others.

International flight

Pets in the cabin

• Only small cats and dogs are allowed in the cabin.
• The maximum weight of the animal kennel plus animal is 5kg.
• Pet container total dimensions (height+width+length) may not exceed 115 cm.
• The pet must be completely inside the container during the whole flight and be able to move inside.
• A kennel must be made of strong materials, such as metal, wood or plastic.

Pets in the baggage compartment

• Only cats and dogs are allowed in baggage/cargo compartment as a checked-in baggage.
• The maximum weight of the animal kennel plus animal is 42 kg.
• Pet container total dimensions (height+width+length) may not exceed 230 cm.
• A kennel must be made of strong materials, such as metal, wood or plastic.

Pet container may contain upto 2 small animals if they are from the same specie and familiar with each other and have space to move inside.

Notes

Unaccompanied Minor prohibit to travel with pet animal.
