My husband replaced the porch light with the sun.
Last weekend I asked my husband to replace the lightbulb on our side porch because it has been out for the past 6 months. When I flipped it on that evening I felt like I turned on the sun. I didn't realize I needed to specify wattage. He replaced the 60 watt bulb with a 200 watt bulb. I told him that the scripture, "Let your light so shine before men....(Matt 5:16)" was not meant to be taken literally. Needless to say we have a well lit porch. It's a bit painful to the eyes, but it will probably be another 6 months before we get around to changing it to a lower wattage.

could he come and change ours too?? the sun is better than nothing, right?
ReplyDeleteI hope that is one of those ecological ones so it's only like 10 watts- or your light bill will be as high as the sun.
ReplyDeleteIt's not. But we only turn it on to quickly take out the trash. Curse us now for our contribution to global warming.
