Today is my 36th anniversary (yes, I was a teenage bride!) and hubby and I are off to celebrate with dinner at one of our favorite steakhouses and then chocolate fondue for dessert at The Melting Pot!  Yum!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Using your Trimmer, score Whisper White card stock base at 4-1/4" in the landscape position and fold.

2. On the Whisper White 3-¾” x 5” piece, stamp the flower image four or more times in Calypso Coral to make your own Designer Series Paper!

3. Adhere the make-your-own DSP pieces onto the largest Dapper Denim piece.  Wrap and tie your ribbon around them and then adhere to your card base.

4. Using the Lots of Labels die set, cut them Dapper Denim 2-¾” x 4-½” piece with the second largest Label die and the Whisper White 2-½” x 3-¾” piece with the third largest Label die.

5. On your Whisper White label die-cut, stamp the phrase you wish at the bottom of the piece in Dapper Denim. 

6. Adhere the label layers together and use Stampin' Dimensions under the Dapper Denim Label piece to adhere to card. 

7. Stamp the flower image in Calypso Coral on your Whisper White Scraps.  Stamp again in Pear Pizzazz on another scrap.  Use the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend to color the center of the flower you will be using.

8. Cut out your focal flower from the Calypso Coral image and a leaf from the Pear Pizzazz image.

9. Place leaf where desired and adhere.  Use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere and pop-up the focal flower.

EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING CORNER FLIP FOLD...

Saturday, I have my downline meeting and I will be doing a demonstration of the Corner Flip Fancy Fold.  Originally, I had planned to use my Sprinkles of Spring card for the presentation and my swap card.  However, one of my sidelines stole my original card right off the swap boards at the OnStage event (bad, Sarah!), so I came up with this version to keep her from having a duplicate.  Aren't I nice???  I used the same sketch/template though, so not too much reinvention.

For this version, I made it more of a generic card that could be used for several occasions: Get Well, Thinking of You, Encouragement, etc.  It is difficult to see in the photo, but I did sponge Pool Party on the background of the Whisper White for the sky.  I needed a bit of whimsy though with my rainbow colored raindrops!  Enjoy!

SPRINKLES OF SPRING CORNER FLIP CARD...

I'm headed off to Baltimore in the morning for the OnStage Local Event!  I'm so excited!!!  Before I head out, I wanted to share the second of my swap cards I did--this time for a SUDSOL group swap at the event.  For this swap, we try to step it up a bit, so I wanted to do a fancy fold.  I chose the Corner Flip Fold.  No time to do a picture tutorial since I'm leaving, but there are general directions following the card supplies list.

I wanted to use a Thinking of You theme as I will use this swap for my downline meeting next week as well, but there wasn't an appropriate sentiment in the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, so I borrowed one from the Sheltering Tree set.  I decided to use some *happy* colors - looking forward to the Spring already!  Too soon???  Here is a view as you open it and then the inside:

CORNER FLIP FUN/FANCY FOLD DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut card stock for regular A2 card base (4-1/4” x 5-1/2”).   Score in the landscape position at 4-1/4”. 
2. Place the card base in the Stampin’ Trimmer in the landscape position, aligning the left edge at 3”. 
3. Cut FROM 2-1/2” to 4-7/8” (using the numbers on the slider). 
4. Rotate your card stock 90 degrees (to the right). 
5. Again align the left edge of the card stock at 3”.  Cut FROM 3” (should meet the previous cut) to 5/8”. 
6. Fold your card base on the score line. 
7. Push the lower left corner of the cut square inward while pulling the upper right hand corner towards you -- down and towards the opposite corner.  Gently ease the folds so that everything lines up square.  Use your bone folder to sharpen the crease. 
8. Dress up the front square with a 2-3/4” square mat and a 2-1/2” square focal piece. 
9. For the inside use a complimentary color mat (this will show from the card front) of 4” x 5-1/4”.  For your inside sentiment focal piece, you want to use a small enough piece that it will not show from the front.  I use 2-7/8” x 4-1/8” or less.

SHOEBOX SWAP SHARE...

Today I wanted to share with you some of the cards Jenni and I made at my upline's meeting.  We had a Shoebox Swap.  This is where each of the participants bring a box with a sample card they have designed and all the pieces to make it.  You go around to (or pass around) each box and make one of each sample card.  At the end of evening, you have several different cards with various styles and occasions while only having to design one yourself.  They are so much FUN!

Most of the cards were CAS (Clean & Simple), but I have to admit that I altered or added a bit to many of them.  I'm just not much of a CAS girl!  Some of the additions (like pearls), you may have to click on the picture to enlarge and see them.  Hope you enjoy my cards!

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY, Joseph's Coat Inside Out...

Next up from my Technique Tuesday class is the Joseph's Coat Inside Out technique (created by JanTink).  This differs from Joseph's Coat in a few ways:  it uses regular Whisper White card stock vs. Glossy White card stock, a large pattern stamp is used first and a patchwork of multi-covered braying is used instead of full coverage of a dark color.  Technique directions follow the recipe.  Again I went for an Autumn feel with our project with a little more color this time.  Enjoy!

JOSEPH'S COAT INSIDE OUT DIRECTIONS:

1. Stamp CS with a large pattern background stamp.
2. Using sponge daubers (or Stampin’ Sponges), sponge at least 3 colors of ink covering the entire piece of CS.
3. Allow to dry. Rub embossing buddy all over the surface of your CS. 
4. Stamp images (bold stamps are more striking) on CS with VersaMark being careful not to overlap.  Sprinkle on clear embossing powder and heat emboss.
5. Brayer 2-3 darker colors over the entire surface in patchwork squares & rectangles that overlap.
6. Buff off excess ink from embossed images with a damp paper towel.
7. Sponge a little more of the darkest color behind the images to make the details pop out. Buff excess ink off embossed areas again.
