You are an ENTP!

As an ENTP, you are Extraverted, iNtuative, Thinking, and Perceiving.
This makes your primary focus on Extraverted Intuition with Introverted Thinking.

This is defined as a NT personality, which is part of Carl Jung's Rational (Knowledge Seeking) type, and more specifically the Inventors or Visionary

As a weblogger, your love for a discussion may cause you to debate things more often. You might also flit from idea to idea, not completing one before going to the next. Your largest sense is intution, which makes you a good at understanding what is going on around you - and this could act to your benefit when making blog-like posts over a journal.

ENTP... again! This profile either fits me exactly, or it's what I secretly want to be. I get it every time I take one of these tests.

Stephen Jackson on September 10, 2002 08:08 AM
Sorry to rant, but I just Gotta!!! I'm almost tragically ENTP... Would be nothing else, as we bring into being so much. It has often seemed to be stupid on the part of SJ types, who rule this planet, in that they resist and try to undermine our work by trying to slow or stop our innovation and improvements and solutions if these things challenge titular authority or the so called tried and true, (which i refer to as the unimproved and unchallenged [and we ALL know that is exactly right]). Then once we have been forced to spend unnecessary engergy PROVING our brainchildren's worth, they take our inventions, systems, ideas and incorprate them into their lives, as though they were theirs all along. BAH! And we, the eNTp, and our brothers, the other NT types, are soon forgotten or rejected, or terminated, while they bless our work with the stink and filth of their status-quo... To hell with SJ types... My only regret is that they are somehow needed to keep society stable enough for us to stand upon so we can keep our heads in the clouds... It would be nice if they would leave us alone and let us manifest our talents and let us WORK!!!

I've been an eNTp all my life, and I wish someone had noticed. Not that I blame my entire life on a misfounded fact, but let's face it, we are not appreciated in this world. The way we go about things i soften misunderstood or mischaracterized as lazy or too aggresive vis-a-vis the "conventional" ways of doing things. I wish a teacher had pulled me aside and realized that we all learn differently and that our personality type has a HUGE impact on how well we learn. Think abou the SJs in the world, the people who must learn by doing something with their hands - do you think their teachers appreciate their unique style of learning? I think not. Same is true for us! The INTJs and the INTPs always succeed, and then they get dumped in the gifted classes because they see all the neat little lines and they can remember the geometrical outcomes, but we're sittting there, going, "Well, what about the other ways of doing this?" We ask that question, and BOOM our teachers tell us to shut our pieholes. That ain't right, and it's time for an eNTp revolution!! Long live the entrepeneur!

ENTP -- yep, that's me. If anyone wants more information on MBTI or Eneagram, email me. I've got tons of stuff I can share with you. ^_^
James the Great on September 22, 2003 05:47 PM
Well I don't like MBTI because it ' s a thing that belongs to the yesterday because the new science- socionics, based on a Jungs and other peoples fashinating theorys about human psyches structure, has come and has a craite potential to change the World and specially psychology. Socionics is the new sience, coming from the Eastern Europe and Russia, conquering the world. Socionics is the sience that has determined that people are born into a type and this type does not change in lifetime and each type has diferent relationship with people. For us ENTps the right partner is ISFp. And the worsts are ENFj, INFj and ISFj, if you get along well with one of these, I am quite shure, that you are not ENTP. There are 16 types and MBTI is wrong in functionalising introverted types. ISFj IS NOT SiFe, it is FiSe. So if you are by MBTI TiNE,then you are not INTp, you are an INTJ. But the description for you is wrong, because western psychologist just wanted to fit it into description of a type. Also there are bad relationships wiht the people. Modern psychology is wrong. We can not get well with all the people and not all the relationships can be turned into efective ones. Some people are not ment to be together, f.e ouer type with ENFJ, INFJ, ENTJ,INTP and ISFJ. Of course ones type has to be real, not found out by cheap internet test. Probebly the pest one is in www.socionics.com. If you really want to know, what is your Jungs theory based type, go there and if you want to know how to find ISFp,our dual, the best partner, go also there. Thats all! Thank You!

It actually come up as ENTP this time, although normally I register as an ENFP. (feeling rather than thinking) I suspect this is due to my personal growth and recent experiences, which have encouraged me, thorugh necessity, to respond honestly, although it still stresses me not to apply tact as much as possible. It really hurts to feel that you might be unintentionally hurting others. Deep down, I am still and will always be an ENFP I suspect, but some situations in life make me react 'out of type'! Personally, I think a 'clumping' technique for personality testing, as done on this site, is just a little too 'generalized' to be truly effective. But still entertaining, as long as everyone takes the info provided with a grain of salt. (Cathy)

I took a one week course on the whole Myers Briggs thing and was shockingly ENTP. At the extreams. My fellow ENTP and I were paired up against the other groups to solve an issue. We did it in under 10 secs. The other groups took minutes and some J's could not complete. I guess it proved what the course instuctor wanted to prove. also proves a team of two is better than a slew of others. LOL

really close like a pair of tighty-whities. entps are better than everyone else. the non-physical description is dead on, but the pseudo-phrenology of looking at someones face may not exactly be true. Maybe they bought too much into the ayn rand, "look in the eyes" identification of a desired personality.
Harper on December 16, 2003 08:53 AM
i love to argue..and i love socializing..and i dont know..maybe it's not real. but it's weird. it's too good to be true. i'm taking another test again..!!!

You know, ENTP's are incredibly rare.. so the amount of people claiming to ENTP's on this sight is a hoot. Not that I don't believe it.. I'm just trying to say that it's very common for men specifically to take the test and come out "Thinkers" even if they are a Feelers. The reason, of course, is that society prefers to typecast men in "Thinker" roles. :) But you know, people are beautiful no matter what side of the scale they land on! Oh please somebody bring up right and left brained people! :) Blessings on you beautifuls ...

I took this test out of a book a while back, and got ENTP then. I took another one of those tests on the web recently, got ENTP again. I decided to see just how accurate that was, so I went back, changed all the answers that I thought might reasonably be the other ones, and it still came out as an ENTP. I took the test all over again, making sure to say the opposite if I was leaning one way but there was any doubt it could be the other way, and I STILL got ENTP. Then I came here, and yet again got ENTP, so I suppose it's either a perfect match or I just really want to be one. But I think the description sounds loads like me, not so much in the inventor portion but especially in the thing about arguing for sport that comes up in ENTPs, the stand-up comedian type of thing, etc.

It's not a ripoff from Myer-Briggs, but from Dr. Paul Farrell's book "The Millionaire Code". Thanks for highlighting the different personality types for the masses. I do wish there were more questions though - that way, it can be even more accurate, especially for hybrids.

I've taken these tests many times before and I've come up right on the borderline of E/I and T/F, but unambigious in the NP areas. So, I score as INTP and INFP most often, and occasionally as ENFP. So ENTP is not terribly out of character for me, either.

I think they are all just set up to give you some stupid common answer that is most likely going to fit anyone so people think that it's real. It's pretty stupid if you ask me.
