    CEO at Radical Candor, LLC

Check out this post by our CRO, Dan Greene! He captured perfectly how important it is to make feedback a consistent, meaningful part of our culture. It’s always rewarding to connect with the team during our weekly meetings. When feedback and praise are consistent and specific, it gives everyone a clear sense of what they’re doing well and how they’re contributing. It’s not just about boosting morale - it’s about helping people grow and build on their strengths. I love seeing how this approach has helped the Radical Candor® team feel more connected and confident every week!

CRO at Radical Candor, LLC | Developing Leaders, Empowering Teams, and Transforming Workplace Culture with Radical Candor

At Radical Candor®, we live by our own advice. We often tell our clients to "care personally, challenge directly" when leading their teams - and it’s a practice we employ daily. But one of the subtle parts of Radical Candor is that it’s not just about delivering critical feedback; it’s also about delivering praise on a regular basis, integrating this feedback into our culture, and making it part of our routine. That’s why we’ve built feedback into our everyday operations. For example, we use weekly Slack snippets where everyone can publicly share shout-outs. This approach highlights individual achievements while keeping the feedback loop active and visible. We also review these snippets in our weekly staff meetings, which helps us connect on a personal level and makes praise more meaningful. By creating a system where feedback is a natural and expected part of our interactions, we celebrate and reinforce what’s working well. The results? Well, when it comes to my team, I've witnessed numerous benefits - from improved work performance to heightened enthusiasm and higher levels of trust. When positive feedback is a regular part of our operations, not an occasional course correction, we accelerate our team’s improvement and boost their confidence. Not to mention, praise and encouragement actually make people feel good. And being happy and having fun at work should be something we all strive for.

What an amazing way to center yourself before a workshop!

A new work tradition! I may be a solopreneur, but it's been fun to create my own work tradition - spending an hour at the local botanical garden before every workshop. Last week it was the Brooklyn Botanical Garden before facilitating a workshop for a team of SVPs at a large multi-national corporation. Before that - Denver, Portland, and Scottsdale!

When we get feedback right, we create a culture where people feel supported to do their best work. How do you make feedback stick with your team? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. #RadicalCandor #Leadership #FeedbackThatMatters #GrowthMindset #WorkplaceCulture

Radical Candor is giving very demure, very mindful, very considerate vibes—like, it’s all about being kind and clear, not rude or harsh. Brutal honesty? That’s more of a brat energy, and while we love a good brat summer (💅), it’s probably not the best vibe when you’re trying to lead a team. Being bratty might work for you, but as a boss, it’s your job to care personally and challenge directly. Radical Candor isn’t about dropping truth bombs with no care for how it lands. It’s more like, “Hey, you could’ve handled that better, but I’m here to help you.” It’s real, but in a treat people with kindness kind of way. So next time your boss tries to disguise brutal honesty as Radical Candor, just give them a gentle nudge—maybe a little Radically Candid feedback of your own. Let’s show them how to be kind and clear without being mean. Remember, if you can’t be radically candid with your boss, it might be time to find one you can! What’s your experience with Radical Candor in the workplace? Have you ever had a boss confuse it with brutal honesty? Share your thoughts below! 👇 For more tips on leading with Radical Candor, tune in to our Radical Candor Podcast and learn how to build stronger, more connected teams. #RadicalCandor #BratSummer #DemureAndMindful #KindAndClear #LeadershipVibes #Leadership #Brat #Demure
