We build Microsoft Teams integrations! Put us in, coach!
Recently an insider told me an absurd fact about RingCentral: “LTV for customers using an integration is 4X higher.” I wanted to know if this could be true, and why. I found 113 million reasons. In Q2 alone, RingCentral drove $113 million in new revenue connected to a single integration partner: Microsoft Teams. CEO Vlad Shmunis told Wall Street analysts last month that “more than half of our large deals this quarter [are] customers that are utilizing our solutions integrated with and alongside Microsoft Teams.” [RC’s “large deals” >$100k ARR, and comprise 40% of overall revenue… $567 million booked in Q2. Mathing... $113m] Mind you that RC competes directly with Skype for Business. Yet Microsoft and RingCentral are tightly partnered- both via API and shared enterprise buyers. Responding to an analyst who questioned their intense coop-etition, Shmunis summed it up: “We're absolutely saying that there is room to coexist with Microsoft, and not just with Microsoft Teams, but with Microsoft's other products… Microsoft will get some, and we will get some, and other people will get some, and everyone will grow.” When Shmunis returned as CEO last December, he emphasized RingCentral’s core values of “trust, innovation, and partnerships,” or “TIP.” Here’s a tip- RC’s 5 million customers love their +300 integrations. Maybe we should talk about building a RingCentral integration, or a Teams app, for your SaaS next? #elg #partnerships
