Colaboración reciente en Argentina 👏 Alongside an operator, we executed the first unconventional horizontal well in a remote location in the southern part of the country, characterized by high bottom hole temperatures and high fracturing gradients. This milestone was achieved through our installed capacity in the country, FightR® friction reducer portfolio, and the use of produced water. Discover stimulation chemicals >> https://bit.ly/43EPT9q

Finding success on the over-mature fringes of organic shale plays >> https://bit.ly/3Vb2gY3 In the Marcellus Shale, Pennsylvania, an operator needed: 1. To assess production potential of mature asset for informed decision making 2. Timely solutions and recommendations Solution: Halliburton deployed the CoreVault® rock-fluid-pressure (RFP) system, integrated with additional petrophysical measurements, including the Xaminer® Magnetic Resonance (XMR™) service. This allowed for swift and economical sample acquisition, providing guidance on the future of this unconventional asset. Result: Conducted five CoreVault RFP runs, recovering 49 rotary sidewall cores. Provided NMR reservoir characterization to determine reservoir storage volume and reservoir fluids. Enhanced understanding of the reservoir quality and development risks involved.

As #CCUS becomes a critical part of the decarbonization strategy, lessons learned from enhanced oil recovery (EOR) can help provide a path forward >> https://bit.ly/3Wl8Ydu In his main stage session at the Carbon Capture & Hydrogen Technology Expo, Steve Knabe, global director of Evaluation and Production for Halliburton Consulting explained the relationship between EOR and CCUS. “Expanded commercial use of CO2 for EOR in many oil-producing regions can help provide incentives to capture CO2,” said Knabe. “Moreover, using CO2 for EOR results in a high percentage of the CO2 remaining in the oil reservoir, effectively sequestering it over time. Once EOR is no longer economical in a field, the CO2 can be either used for other commercial purposes or sequestered permanently in the geological formation,” said Knabe. Explore Knabe's full presentation in the link above.
