We are delighted to introduce Monika Simone Sittinger who has joined our Category Management team. 🐈🐕 Based in our Manchester office, Monika will be collaborating with customers across Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, and Belgium. Originally from Germany, Monika also speaks fluent English and Spanish, holds a degree in Business Management and Marketing with Spanish, and is now learning French too! Over the past few years, Monika has worked in a customer-facing role in Ecuador and in commercial positions in the UK. Monika is excited to join us in the pet food industry, where she'll be using both her language skills and her business experience. We had an absolute blast recently welcoming the Féile lads from Wolf Tones Hurling Club to our Edgeworthstown headquarters! The visit kicked off with a hearty meal in our boardroom, complete with Lucozade to keep their energy levels high for their next game 😉. After fuelling up, the boys were treated to an inspirational video created by our talented IT administrator, Daniel Hughes. Our general manager, Declan Kennedy, also joined the fun, sharing his own Féile experiences and making the day even more memorable by gifting each of the lads personalised kit bags. We are committed to investing in future talent at C&D Foods, and the latest recruit to our graduate programme is Donal McRedmond, who has joined us as a trainee engineering manager at our Edgeworthstown site in Ireland. 🙌🏼   Donal has completed four years of college at TUS Athlone, earning a BEng degree in mechanical engineering, and not only brings this excellent qualification to the team but experience too – gained in our very own factory! That’s because he has worked as a fitter in our factory during the summer when he was a student, so he not only understands our high standards, but has an insight into our company culture and the opportunities available to him as a graduate trainee. 🌟   Our Early Careers Development Programme is all about giving graduate trainees the opportunity to work on live projects and learn about our business, while being supported to ensure they thrive in the workplace and their career. Donal has a graduate programme tracker, that helps him develop key competencies as he grows into his role, and he’s currently working his way through the people management, site services and health & safety modules.   "I’m already working on my first project" said Donal, "and I’ve been made to feel really welcome since I joined.
