We are proud to announce the publication of our AI Charter today! The Charter describes the principles that we follow to deliver trustworthy AI-based solutions in a safe, ethical and responsible way, and is based on our experience of delivering national-scale AI and machine learning solutions in a range of settings, from healthcare to environmental management. These principles are the ‘ground rules’ that guide how we work and behave – with our clients, partners, and our colleagues – to realise the transformative potential that AI can offer and to mitigate its risks responsibly. Tom Weeks, our Transformation Director and Chief Strategy Officer, has written this article that explains the thinking behind the Charter and how we have shaped our approach: https://lnkd.in/djgP4-nJ Our AI Charter is now published on our website and you can slide through below to read more about our approach to safe, ethical and responsible AI-enabled innovation. We look forward to continuing to innovate using AI and advanced data-science and analytics collaboratively with our partners across the public and private sectors to help make our world smarter, safer, healthier, and cleaner. We are delighted to announce that we have joined the UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC). This announcement represents a milestone in our continued commitment to sustainable digital growth in Southeast Asia. Commenting on the news Lord Ed Vaizey, Chairman of the UK-ASEAN Business Council, said: “I am delighted to welcome Informed Solutions into the UKABC partnership. Their expertise as our first pure-play digital and technology solutions partner brings a valued new dimension to our membership and beyond. We look forward to hearing Informed Solutions’ voice as part of the vital contribution UK tech makes in global markets – not least in Southeast Asia – participation that will strengthen our collective efforts to address shared global challenges.” The UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC) is an independent partner to UK and ASEAN governments. It links the UK private sector, the UK government and the public and private sector of ASEAN, facilitating dialogue on policy and shared global challenges with the aim to grow two-way trade and investment between the UK and ASEAN. Through our partnership with the UKABC, we will leverage our expertise to support the UK’s contribution to resilient, sustainable infrastructure in the region through trusted, proven and highly advanced data science, AI and Machine Learning expertise, as well as the ability to accelerate and de-risk digital business change. Membership of the UK-ASEAN Business Council follows our recent landmark partnership agreements with two prominent ASEAN entities: GRC Consulting Services Sdn Bhd (GRCCS), a well-established provider of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) advisory services in the region; and REDtone, a leading telecommunications and digital infrastructure services provider in Malaysia. Joining the UKABC presents a further strategic opportunity for us to participate during Malaysia’s chairing of ASEAN in 2025 where we look forward to furthering our mission of driving sustainable digital transformation and realising shared growth opportunities following the accession of the UK to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) in July 2023. What a way to celebrate the summer, by going bowling in the dark! That’s how we roll! 😂 A few of our London colleagues had an excellent Wednesday night at a newly opened local bowling alley in London Victoria where they shared in a healthy dose of friendly competition, and great food and drink! Congratulations to Austen Wells for posting the highest score of the day, taking top spot from Ben Whitfield by just one pin. #GreatPlacetoWork #TeamSocial Marsha Nathania Harri Turnbull Brian McIntyre FIET Elizabeth Vega OBE Blaise Hammond Adam Horrell Keith Domnick Eleanor Cook Aron van Sleen Aaron Scott, PhD

We are delighted to announce a strategic partnership with GRC Consulting Services Sdn Bhd (GRCCS) on digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capability development to help advance Malaysian and wider ASEAN Region’s progress towards resilience and sustainability development goals. The partnership was unveiled this week at the 6th GRCCS Conference: Resilience Rising in Kuala Lumpur. Organisational Resilience and Environmental Sustainability and Governance is increasingly a business priority. In the face of more frequent events that severely disrupt and damage our environment, ecologies, economies, and communities, businesses are increasingly adopting a proactive approach to risk mitigation, compliance, governance, and the development of dynamic, robust digital operating systems that are accelerating organisational resilience and sustainable business growth, whilst helping protect the environments within which they operate. As part of the conference keynote schedule, Informed Solutions’ Chairman John Alderson addressed a full house to highlight how organisations can harness the transformative powers of data and AI to achieve climate change and community resilience through stories of our own experiences across the UK where we continue to drive national resilience programmes across environmental, transport, healthcare, and health security sectors. These stories point to the increasing frequency of events that disrupt and damage our environment, ecologies, economies, and communities, compelling organisations to adopting more proactive approaches to risk mitigation. By harnessing the transformative powers of advanced data analytics, AI, and Machine Learning (ML), these organisations are accelerating and de-risking organisational resilience and sustainable business growth capabilities, whilst helping protect the environments within which they operate. Our appreciation to our partner, GRCCS, for their enduring support and invitation to contribute to this flagship event. We are very much looking forward to helping making data driven, digitally powered resilience ambitions a reality for Malaysia and throughout the ASEAN region. It was a real delight to show appreciation to our 2023-2024 placement students for their excellent contribution throughout the year. Fitting with tradition, our new placement intake for 2024 joined the celebration and had a great time chatting with those who have gone before. We are really excited to see how we can help them, learn, develop, and enjoy working on fantastic national and international tech4good digital transformation projects. While it was bittersweet to say goodbye to our departing students, we enjoyed hearing their reflections of life at Informed and recognising their incredible achievements and most memorable moments. Additionally, the advice they gave to their successors was wonderful to hear, and made us all proud of how much they learned and developed during their time with us. The event also gave our new students the opportunity to share their goals for this year and the skills and experiences they hope to gain. With our help we hope and believe we can help all achieve their ambitions for the next year, and enjoy contributing to work that makes the world safer, greener, healthier, and smarter. To all of our outgoing placement students, we wish you the best of luck with the rest of your studies and hope to see many of you again soon. Members of our Skills Outreach team had the privilege of visiting Loreto Grammar School in Altrincham recently to participate in the Speed Careers Networking event with Year 12 students for the second time. Alongside a range of professionals from various fields, Informed's Jacey Hesketh and Mairead Devlin conversed with the pupils, highlighting the diverse and rewarding opportunities within the tech industry. This event provided a fulfilling opportunity to engage with motivated students and inspire potential future digital leaders, with discussions ranging from the debunking of common misconceptions about tech careers to sharing personal experiences of further education, and applying for and being successful in joining Informed’s graduate programme. Established six years ago, the Informed Solutions Skills Outreach team is a dedicated working group that leverages our digital expertise to engage with our local communities. Our mission is to inspire, support, and empower young individuals to explore careers in the tech sector. With a clear focus on tech4good collaboration, our mission is to create economic and social value by fostering a more inclusive, fair, and safe society. We achieve this through the ethical use of technology and data, and by investing in digital skills development. The recent visit to Loreto Grammar School is just one example of the Skills Outreach Group in action. This academic year, we have also conducted in-person software development sessions, starting at a level accessible to individuals from any background and advancing in complexity as the sessions progressed. We look forward to encouraging and supporting more young people in Manchester and the North-West to learn about digital and to start thinking about it as a potential path to employment and ultimately a career. Congratulations to The Crown Estate on being chosen to deliver a plenary session at this year’s Esri User Conference in San Diego, and to Michelle Moore, Joe Sykes, and Jamie Moore for delivering a fantastic presentation. The session showcased Crown Estates' innovative Whole of Seabed programme, which uses spatial data together with the Resource Identification and Optimisation (RIO) GIS platform to underpin a data-led evidence base for marine spatial planning. Informed Solutions is proud to have worked alongside The Crown Estate team on the development of RIO, and delighted that the work of the whole team has been recognised for its innovation and contribution to the sustainable management of our natural resources.
We’ve been building our expertise and #data capabilities over the past two decades to better understand the seabed we manage. Geographic Information System (#GIS) technology plays a vital role in enabling our approach, including our innovative Whole of Seabed programme, providing a data-led evidence base for our approach to #marine spatial #planning across the seabed. As such, we were proud to present to 40,000 people around the world at the Plenary Session of the 2024 Esri User Conference in San Diego yesterday – the world’s largest GIS conference – on how we use digital #technology to inform our approach to seabed management in collaboration with marine stakeholders, assessing how to balance #NetZero delivery and #nature recovery whilst creating a thriving marine economy. Thank you to Michelle Moore, Jamie Moore and Joe Sykes for presenting so passionately and sharing the impactful work of The Crown Estate to a global audience! #EsriUC24
