Working in partnership with our clients is reflected in our core values, we are Trusted Partners – dedicated to our clients’ success. This was evident when our partnership with Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management was recently recognised at the Energy Awards. We were delighted that our collaborative £22m decarbonisation project at North Tyneside General Hospital reached the finals for Energy Project of the Year: Public Sector. Funded by the government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, the Dalkia team worked closely with the Trust to secure a £19.5m grant for the project. #TrustedPartners #NetZero #TeamWork

Supporting our apprentices to develop skills in all areas is vitally important. We ensure they receive a well-rounded, thorough and useful apprenticeship and, as they hone their skills, have the right tools to become our workforce of the future. Recently, six of our facilities apprentices in Scotland were delighted to receive a new 'traditional' tool kit from supply chain partner, Edmundson Electrical Ltd . This generous donation will enhance the practical side of their training, as they continue to learn and develop at Dalkia. Apprentice Sam Noble said, ‘The new tools will definitely aid my apprentice journey and we would all like to say thanks to Edmundson’s’, his colleague Darren Wheeler commented ‘The toolkit will really help me to tackle many of my daily tasks, I’m very grateful for Edmunsons’ generosity.’ #TrustedPartners #BetterTogether #Apprenticeships

Net Zero week was a great opportunity for our Head of CSR, Clémence O'Connor (Hallier) to deliver another Climate Fresk with long-standing client, Tate. Following the event, the team all said they had learnt a lot about the potential effects of Climate Change and Tate’s commitment to achieving Net Zero. They definitely felt equipped with useful information and knowledge to help them positively tackle climate change and to encourage their families, friends and other colleagues to do the same! We continually work with our clients in all sectors to develop and deliver solutions to help reduce carbon emissions, save energy and decrease costs across their portfolios. #TrustedPartners #NetZeroWeek #ClimateFresk

Many congratulations to our 2024 Dalkia Three Peaks Challenge Team on achieving such an amazing feat of grit, determination and endurance. Our intrepid colleagues took on the challenge of climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours for our chosen charity, Mind and SAMH. The team raised an incredible £20,000+ (and rising!) - well done all! As the saying goes ‘every little helps’ so here’s a few ways donations help to fund vital services offered by these charities:   👏 £1 = 10 booklets – providing trusted information to people when they need it most 👏 £10 = one infoline call – helping people find out about mental health problems and treatment options 👏 £25 = one person joining a focus group about the charity’s work and sharing their lived experiences of mental health issues to raise awareness. 👏 £30 = one hour of keeping Mind’s online community, Side-by-Side, open where anyone can join, talk and find support 24/7   If you can spare any amount – small or large – you can still help us to support Mind and SAMH in their crucial work: https://lnkd.in/egPe7yp9

It’s Net Zero Week! Throughout the week we’re raising awareness of this crucial topic with our people by holding insightful webinars and providing interesting resources, learning opportunities and practical activities to boost their knowledge and encourage them to get involved all things Net Zero Yesterday we kicked off with a webinar, we heard from Benjamin Lemaitre on our Net Zero strategy…we’re helping Britain achieve its energy transition by: ✅ Supporting Net Zero infrastructure projects delivery (nuclear, green hydrogen, electrical network, renewables)  ✅ Helping our clients to decarbonise and reduce their energy consumption (decarbonisation projects, energy efficiency services, energy management) ✅ Playing our part with our Carbon Reduction Plan, with the ambition to reach Net Zero for own operations by 2030 We then learned about various Net Zero initiatives across the Group: Mark Snell, who’s chairing the newly formed BESA Net Zero Group, Eduan Smit on the cost and carbon reduction benefits gained by Capula following the installation of solar panels at their offices. We also learnt insights on our current Net Zero projects from Lewis Welch, Wesley Tonner and Dignant Vishnu. Later this week we’ll be showcasing a number of our current net zero projects. #NetZeroWeek2024 #TakingResponsibility #NetZeroLetsGo

We are delighted to announce a new contract with Morrison Construction. The Dalkia team will deliver all mechanical, electrical and plumbing works including fire, security and data systems on this project co-locating and replacing existing educational and community facilities in Faifley, West Dunbartonshire. Delivered in partnership with hub West Scotland, this represents a significant investment by West Dunbartonshire Council that will greatly improve services for local people. The new LEIP funded campus is to be Passivhaus Certified to reduce on-going maintenance and running costs associated with the existing facilities. It also positively responds to the Scottish Government’s Climate Change Bill, which targets net zero emissions of all greenhouse gases by 2045. #NetZero #TakingResponsibility #DalkiaUK
