Last week, we celebrated #Sentosa’s 52nd birthday at our townhall! As part of our birthday celebrations, we gathered to share the latest exciting developments on the island and also celebrate the recent achievements of our #Sentosians. Our senior management Chew Tiong Heng, Chris Pok, and Yun Meng Chew shared about how we worked together as #OneSentosa to overcome the recent oil spill, while Candice Ho and Emily Ng introduced the island's latest initiative, Night Mode, that provides visitors with a night experience they won’t forget. Over the past 52 years, our #Sentosians continue to make us proud, in their endeavours to further anchor Sentosa’s stature as Asia’s leading leisure destination, and we were delighted to celebrate these achievements together. Most notably our Senior Advisor, Chin Sak Hin, received the Public Administration Medal (Silver), and Susan Tan received the Long Service Medal (25 Years) in this year’s National Day Awards. We’re incredibly proud to announce that Sensoryscape has clinched several prestigious awards that celebrate our dedication to design excellence and transformational development. At the MUSE Design Awards by MUSE Awards, Sensoryscape emerged as the Platinum winner in the following six categories: 1. Lighting Design - Architectural Lighting 2. If you haven’t already heard, Tanjong Beach has officially reopened today, marking the full restoration of all beaches on Sentosa. After months of concerted clean-up efforts and community support, guests can once again enjoy the complete range of beach and sea experiences across Sentosa’s pristine beaches including Siloso, Palawan, and Tanjong. Whether you’re looking for sun-soaked relaxation, thrilling water sports or unforgettable seaside moments, there is something for everyone! We’re incredibly grateful to our dedicated teams, volunteers and partners who worked tirelessly to restore our shores following the oil spill incident. Today, we were thrilled to kickstart Sentosa Cares Week 2024, Sentosa Development Corporation's flagship event aimed at fostering social inclusivity and creating joyful experiences for all. This is the second year that brings together SDC and our Island Partners to provide over 1,300 beneficiaries, including ComLink families, persons with disabilities, and their caregivers, with the opportunity to enjoy the island's offerings and attractions. Over the next week, they will be treated to a range of experiences on Sentosa, including thrilling adventures at Mega Adventure Park and HyperDrive at The Palawan @ Sentosa, among many others. At the inaugural Global Community Policing Conference 2024 last week, Piak Huat Koh, Divisional Director, Integrated Operations, shared on Sentosa’s multi-layered and integrated approach towards working with the community in enhancing public safety and law enforcement. Organized by the Singapore Police Force, this session allowed Sentosa Development Corporation to focus on building relationships and trust with partners. The Sentosa community is equipped with expertise and resources for coordinated responses to potential threats, thereby safeguarding the safety and security of Sentosa island. This is done through the One-Sentosa Resilience Framework, which includes: • Ensuring all stakeholders are aware of potential threats and remain vigilant • Empowering staff in essential skills • Systems and infrastructure for surveillance and monitoring • Collaboration and community involvement Sentosa adopts a “See-Say-Solve” approach that aims to help mitigate risk on a whole-of-island level. In today’s security landscape, the peace we enjoy cannot be taken for granted and we must continue to remain vigilant. At SDC, we are committed to promoting rest and relaxation for #Sentosians, even amidst their dedicated work. Our annual bowling competition exemplifies this commitment, providing our team members with a well-deserved break and an opportunity to showcase their talent on the lanes. Organised by the Sentosa Recreational Club, the recent SDC Annual Bowling Competition 2024 brought together 110 enthusiastic #Sentosians from our vibrant community, showcasing the spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie. Congratulations to our winners! The competition saw impressive performances, with the champion and first runner-up hailing from Sentosa Golf Club, and the second runner-up from SDC. Our #Sentosians was truly on display, with the top three teams and the best male and female bowlers being recognised, with shiny medals and trophies. We are immensely proud of the sportsmanship and skill demonstrated by our colleagues, and we look forward to organising more events that foster a healthy work-life balance for all #Sentosians. #Sentosa #DiscoveryNeverEnds

Did you spot the iconic Sentosa Sensoryscape in this year’s National Day Parade (NDP) choir music video? Set against the stunning backdrop at Sensoryscape multi-sensory green connector, the video features a combined school choir of about 150 students from Commonwealth Secondary School and Pasir Ris Secondary School, along with Special Education students from the Association for Persons with Special Needs APSN Katong, Chaoyang, Tanglin, St. Andrew's Autism School, Lighthouse School, MINDS Lee Kong Chian Garden School, and Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School. Together, they performed a medley of beloved National Day songs in a heartwarming tribute to our nation's 59th birthday.
