PropertyGuru Group continued its momentum in Q2 2024, with double-digit revenue growth year over year, leading to double-digit Adjusted EBITDA margin. Our revenue was up 10% y-o-y to S$41 million. Week10 of our Prodi-G Intern programme at PropertyGuru Group and we're excited to spotlight another rising star in Southeast Asia’s digital and technology landscape! Meet Chai Kang Sheng, who graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Reading Malaysia, and is now finishing a Master’s in Data Science at University of Malaya. Chai previously interned aEBRIC, where he promoted a new video shopping app, strengthened his understanding of consumer interactions. Today at PropertyGuru Group he works in our Data and Software Solutions team PropertyGuru For Business with Wenli Teh, Special Projects Manager, and Bob Koppes, Director of Commercial & Strategy, handling operational tasks from data cleansing and analysis for key clients, to lead generation. A highlight of Chai's internship so far has been leading a Fireside Chat with our CFO, Joe Dische, which involved him interviewing Joe about his career path to becoming the CFO of a public-listed company and beyond. Outside of work, Chai is sporty and competitive. He plays ultimate frisbee and trains every weekend for local and international tournaments with teams from Singapore, China, the Philippines, Japan, and more. Last week, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore Management University to collaborate on talent development, research, data sharing, and mutual resource and knowledge sharing to advance Asia's urban aspirations. In a region like Asia, urbanisation is increasingly influenced by social, climate and demographic dynamics; and this partnership led by our Managing Director, Data and Software Solutions, Shyn Yee Ho-Strangas 何勋谊, will  leverage the expertise of both parties to generate data-informed insights with real-world applications.

Meet Kim Ngan (Katie) Vu, aka Katie, from Hanoi. Katie is a dedicated digital marketeer, blog-writer, content creator, entrepreneur with 3+ years of experience in brand building. She's currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing, and set to graduate next summer from VinUniversity. Katie has already made a significant impact at PropertyGuru Vietnam, working closely with Sivaram P. and Alexander de Leon on the Consumer Marketing Team. She recently set a new engagement record on Facebook, reaching around 8 million people and achieving over 100,000 engagements with her posts. Before joining us, Katie honed her skills at Gimasys Co., Ltd and led marketing for L'Oneiros, a charity-focused musical theater project at VinUniversity. Known for her curiosity and enthusiasm, Katie enjoys exploring different cuisines, reading about human development, and traveling to discover new cultures. PropertyGuru Group honours Singapore's 59th birthday with ‘A Sense of Home' — our celebration of communities and memories that define Singapore. In our Scents of Singapore TikTok series, we captured nostalgic aromas that local communities associate with respective districts; transforming these memories into custom scents. Our Gurus for Good initiative, in partnership with SASCO, saw our Gurus engaging senior citizens in crafting miniature HDB flats, fostering a deeper sense of community. Next week, we will be launching Heartland Heroes- an initiative to celebrate everyday champions across Singapore. From a batik tailor in Holland Village to a social enterprise initiative in Yishun, we want to spotlight individuals that have made an impact in their communities. Today please meet Inigo D., aka “Zoey”. Whether it’s journalism, marketing or the creative arts (photography; videography; web and app UX design), Zoey is a master storyteller who graduated from Northumbria University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with Public Relations in 2022. Not one to be held back by a global pandemic, Zoey took a year out after online classes to gain the full British experience, travelling around and absorbing the multi-cultural vibes of some of the UK’s biggest cities, where his knack for languages paid off as he got to practice Chinese, Malay, Tamil and Arabic! In Zoey’s spare time, he also loves to explore the world through cuisine, with signature fan favourites being Filipino Pork Adobo, Kimchi Carbonara, Pork and Chive Dumplings YUM! Zoey’s internship here is within PropertyGuru Group’s corporate communications team alongside Paolo Mangahas and Sheena Chopra where the team are busy launching our new HR system Workday and intranet GuruHome. Today please meet Jing Wen Ong who is graduating this Autumn from the University of London with first class honours grades for Programming for Data Science and Business Analytics. Jing Wen's internship here is working with Dr. Nai Jia Lee, our Real Estate Futurist, analysing development sites and providing stakeholders with essential insights and intelligence. Jing Wen is driven by curiosity, a self-confessed problem-solver who can't resist analysing data and dissecting how things could be better. If you're an avid traveler (Shyn Yee Ho-Strangas 何勋谊 !!), she can tell you that Saturdays are when flights are least likely to be delayed, and midweek 6pm+ flights are the most likely. Previously while at school, Jing Wen organized events for the Careers Office, participated in hackathons with the Innovation Networking Society, and collaborated on projects in the Data Analytics Club. She's also passionate about community building volunteering at events like Singapore Computer Society's technology adoption efforts, National Day Parade, and Chingay. First up, it’s Quang Nguyen, aka “August”. August graduated with a BA from the Foreign Trade University in HCMC, Vietnam specializing in international administration, and is currently finalizing his MBA at Singapore Management University. He’s the Founder of the tech blog *creat-io* and an investment portfolio manager in his spare time. Working in our FinTech business alongside Alexander Zonneveld and Janice Lim, August’s combined skills in tech, data and analytics are focused on assessing and improving the effectiveness of our sales processes as we help our customers with critical home financing information to help them achieve their aspirations to be home owners. Diversity and Inclusion can sometimes be a nuanced topic to navigate but at PropertyGuru Group, we believe in the importance and relevance of partnerships and communities to do so. In alignment with Pride Month, we partnered with various interest groups and communities across the region to drive awareness on inclusion. For example, our participation at the Inclusive Careers Fair in Singapore gave us the opportunity to connect with diverse talents and network with other similar organisations. In India, we conducted an informative session with Solidarity Foundation Bangalore about Gender, Sex and Sexuality, to understand the unique challenges faced by indigenous and local LGBTIAQ+ communities in India. The challenges faced by marginalised communities are ever evolving; and we recognise the need for ongoing education and awareness to advance as an organisation and community. #pridemonth #PGRU #createwhatsnext
