Red Hat participated in the first ever OpenInfra Summit Asia + OCP Regional Summit APAC held in South Korea. Sean Cohen, Director, Product Management, Red Hat, took a session showcasing how Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift (RHOSO) can reduce time-to-market and risk, improve resource management and scalability, and offer unified observability across the hybrid cloud. The process of deploying RHOSO while harnessing the full capabilities of Ansible was introduced at a hands-on lab session, too. 🌟 What an incredible experience at the OpenInfra Summit Asia and OCP Regional Summit APAC in Suwon, South Korea! 🌏 I had the amazing opportunity to join a two-day, hands-on lab session where we deployed Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift using innovative Operator-based tools. From configuring secure access for OpenStack services to setting up both control and data planes, the session was packed with insights and real-world applications. I walked away with a deeper understanding of the platform's roadmap and future developments, thanks to an interactive Q&A session at the end. 🚀 The keynotes were filled with inspiring talks and cutting-edge tech! I learned about the "Battle in the Edge of AI" from Anoop Kumar of Mirantis, and explored innovations in Kata Containers and Ceph for efficient storage solutions. I also discovered how OpenAPI and typing are being brought to OpenStack, adding more flexibility and scalability to our cloud deployments. The discussions around telco cloud advancements, the shift from traditional to generative AI (like Llama), and the next era of autonomous computing combining Control Points, AI, and APIs were truly eye-opening. I also got to know about OceanBase database solutions and GPU-efficient SSD innovations by Fadu. It was also fantastic to hear from other user groups across Asia sharing their experiences and success stories. I’m truly excited to be a part of this vibrant community, contributing to the future of open infrastructure! 💡 A big shoutout to all the organizers from the OpenInfra and OCP Korea community and fellow contributors from across Asia for creating such an impactful event.
