This week we are welcoming Lanxi Ji to our Modelling, Access and Strategy team in Stockholm. Lanxi holds a Master’s degree in Economics (Applied Economic Analysis) from Stockholm School of Economics. We are thrilled to welcome Jessica Young as a Senior Project Leader to our Stockholm office. Jess is a Pharmacoepidemiologist who trained at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and recently completed a Postdoctoral position with the CAUSALab at Karolinska Institutet. When living in a country that is dark and snowy for 6 months of the year, summer is a big deal and something worth celebrating. 🎉 Last Wednesday our Nordic colleagues got together for our annual summer party at Södra Teatern in Stockholm. But not before the whole team was subjected to a scavenger hunt across town taking in historic landmarks, re-enacting album covers and enlightening unsuspecting tourists of what QALY means!😅 It has been a great year for Quantify Research so far with exciting and impactful projects and talented new colleagues joining the team. In his current role as Senior Lead Analyst within the Real World Evidence & Analysis unit, Mathias has become an integral part of the Stockholm team. 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘢𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘦? Programming, statistics, and study design. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘦? I try to help other colleagues whenever possible and discuss interesting topics with others as well as doing trainings and presentations within my area of expertise. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬? Starting off the day in a project meeting, where I can discuss important topics and check-in with the other project members. Next, blocking some time in the calendar to focus on advanced programming or study design which really challenges your logic and creative thinking. After that some lunch in the sun with some of my great colleagues followed by an intense ping-pong match at the office. If time allows, I would read up on some interesting subject within statistics or epidemiology and think about how I can implement these findings in my projects. Spending the rest of my day working on some interesting project where I get to use my skills to make an impact. Quantify’s Olivia Ernstsson and Alexandra Cooper are attending the Nordic Conference of Epidemiology and Register-Based Health Research (NordicEpi) in Copenhagen!   Olivia Ernstsson will give a poster presentation about NORDSTAR – a Nordic collaboration platform for asthma research that illustrates how a multi-party, public-private partnership built around unique Nordic data can create impactful research.  Also make sure not to miss Alexandra Cooper's poster on Quantify's data platform for Disease-Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs) in Sweden and its potential for generating Real-World Evidence (RWE) across research areas.
