New Zealand Chinese Students' Association. Since 1996, we aim to serve Chinese students in NZ.

About us

The New Zealand Chinese Students’ Association (NZCSA) is an incorporated student society that aims to serve the Chinese students in New Zealand, promoting the Chinese Culture and act as a bridge between the Chinese student community and the local mainstream community. Starting in 1996, NZCSA began its life as a student initiative to connect the Chinese students in New Zealand who shared the same vision, providing them with a chance to expand their capabilities as well as associate with like-minded young leaders. Since then, NZCSA has gone from strength to strength becoming the largest Chinese student organisation while establishing itself as a reputable entity in the local business community. NZCSA sees around 800 new members each year and currently has a committee of 65 students. We hold over 4000 members in our database as means of advertising to and bringing influence for our own values and business opportunities. We have a strong presence across multiple channels including Wechat, Sina Weibo, Facebook and Skykiwi forums. NZCSA hosts a range of events from ski trips to course tutorials. Our major annual events attract over 100 participants with advertisements covering entire city campus of University of Auckland (“UoA”), our co-operating business partners (around 60) and the partnership Chinese student organisations in all major tertiary institutes. On top of NZCSA’s events, there are also joint events we hold with ASIA- an alliance of all Asian student organisations in University of Auckland, such as the Grande Royale ball in 2014 or the Halloween Party. We also have strong relationships with media companies such as SkyKiwi, AM936 and hold industrial and professional contacts with production companies such as A Bird Production and Msick. Vision: The vision of NZCSA is to establish a strong network of the Chinese students and Alumni to serve the Chinese student community, build industrial contacts and promote Chinese culture.

  • On May 1st, NZCSA collaborated with Chance Immigration and Education to host an insightful workshop at the University of Auckland for international students. The session delved into crucial topics such as work visa and skilled migrant resident policies. 🌟 Reflecting on an incredible year as Co-President of NZCSA! 🌟 As my tenure alongside Alvin Meng as Co-Presidents of the New Zealand Chinese Students' Association (NZCSA Incorporated ) comes to a close, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for the amazing journey we've had in 2023. Together, we led a remarkable team that orchestrated a series of events bringing our community together. We kicked off the year with an electrifying Welcome Party that saw over 80 students join us, setting the tone for a vibrant year ahead. The energy continued with a thrilling Basketball Tournament, fostering friendly competition and camaraderie among our members. One of our standout moments was our Professional Networking Event, where we connected members with over 20 esteemed companies, opening doors to exciting opportunities. In September, to celebrate Chinese Language Week, we hosted a beautiful Traditional Calligraphy event at O'Rorke Hall - UOA Student Accommodation, sharing Chinese cultural heritage. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our incredible committees, whose dedication and hard work made each event a success. Your passion has been inspiring! A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors and event partners whose generous support helped us bring these visions to life. Your belief in our cause made all the difference. As I pass the baton alongside Alvin Meng to the capable hands of Yuhan Liu and Wendy Wang who will lead as President and Vice President in 2024, I have no doubt that they will continue to steer NZCSA to greater heights. Here's to the memories we've created and the bright future ahead for NZCSA! 🚀🌟 #nzcsa #community #leadership

  • 中秋节快乐!🥮🥮 Recently we hosted an unforgettable Mid-Autumn Mooncake Workshop at the Student Kitchen in the University of Auckland, with over 100 enthusiastic participants. This event aims to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and share the warmth of home. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, we often long for our loved ones. NZCSA hopes that our fellow Chinese students living away from home can feel the warmth of family. We firmly believe that home is not just a physical place but a sum of love and affection. On this special day, we gathered together to make delicious mooncakes and share the traditions from our hometowns. NZCSA is committed to being by your side every Mid-Autumn Festival, making sure you feel the warmth of home and "Whanau" (family). No matter where you are, we are one big family, always ready to embrace you. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the students who participated in today's event. You have made this Mid-Autumn Festival extra special. May you never feel alone in a foreign land, as NZCSA is always here with you. Let's celebrate this wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival together, sharing the warmth of home and the joy of reunion! Wishing everyone a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
