Te Henga / Bethells Beach was a stunning west coast paradise, but in early 2023, severe weather changed everything. The community was isolated, with power cut off for days. In response, our Storm Recovery and Resilience fund supported Matuku Reserve Trust, enabling them to store power generated by solar panels at the Trust's Sustainable Wetland Education Centre. The centre is set to be transformed into a community hub during climate emergencies.🌱 ℹ️ Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/gRtKB_HQ #ourakl #auckland #climateactionakl #solarpower #solarpanels
