Financial Controller

Canada Pension Plan Investment has invested an initial EUR 130 mln in Power2X. This has increased the scope and responsibilities of the Finance team significantly. To strengthen our Finance team, next to the Business Controller, we are looking to welcome a hands-on Financial Controller who can run our financial administration. Additionally, this role involves developing, implementing, and upgrading relevant finance controls, standards, and procedures to ensure the Finance function stays in sync with Power2X’s overall growth.

As a Financial Controller at Power2X, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring accurate administration, financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and providing support to various projects.

What will you do?

• Taking on the financial accounting and control responsibilities within the Finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager, and in close cooperation with the Business Controller
• Running key financial processes, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable and time writing registration
• Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports, including consolidation of 10+ legal entities
• Ensuring these statements are prepared in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Responsible for developing and maintaining internal controls: establishing approval processes for financial transactions, segregations of duties, and regularly reviewing and updating control mechanisms to adapt to changing business needs
• Recording financial transactions, maintain general ledgers, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records for 10+ entities
• Assist with the design and implementation of the envisaged ERP system.

Who are you?

• Working level experience or a (bachelor’s) degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in a financial accounting and/or control position
• Working knowledge of VAT, CIT and transfer pricing an international context
• Team player supporting an inclusive working environment
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Self-starter with can do analytical mindset, delivering reliable and consistent results
• Proficiency in Dutch and English
• Experience in an international scale up, or consulting/project development environment is a pré
