Taiko's Post-Mainnet Launch: Optimizations and Future Roadmap Since our Mainnet launch, Taiko has reduced L1 gas costs by over 30% while maintaining contract upgradability. We're excited to share our roadmap and upcoming enhancements: - Enhancing L2 EIP-1559: Adjusting fee settings for fair proposer revenue. Transaction Preconfirmation: Providing sub-second confirmation of transactions. - Sponsored Transactions: Allowing sponsors to cover user transaction fees. - Cancun EVM Support: Upgrading to the latest EVM opcodes. -Contract Use of Calldata as DA: Enabling smart contracts to use calldata for L3 blocks. - Enhancing Min-Tier Selection: Improving randomness in block proving. Our Ontake Fork release will incorporate these features, with testing on our Hekla testnet before October and a mainnet upgrade planned for Q4. This year's EthCC was special for Taiko! We reconnected with old friends, made new ones, and shared valuable insights throughout the event. Our booths were buzzing with activity, and it was great to see so many people engaging with us. We hosted a hackathon for devs and participated in various talks and panels, covering everything from the state of zero-knowledge proofs to rollups, interoperability, gaming, and more. These sessions made us very optimistic about the future of Layer 2 solutions and web3. A special moment for us was being mentioned as "EVM purists" during Vitalik's presentation on the current and future state of Ethereum. It was an honor to be recognized in such a significant context.
