We are extremely proud to announce that Phoenix House (PH) has officially met all standards for compliance with the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). Furthermore, I am even more delighted to announce that Phoenix House has been granted BEACON STATUS for Safeguarding and Student Welfare. PH is the first school in Japan to be granted Beacon Status. There are currently only 15 schools out of the 450 COBIS schools holding Beacon Status around the world. Beacon Status schools have demonstrated excellence in a particular standard, and are committed to sharing their exceptional practice with other schools around the world. In the final written report, PH was also awarded NINE COMMENDATIONS. While COBIS regulations stipulate that reports cannot be published, we are able to outline the key findings and recommendations, and share highlights. Over the next few weeks and months, do follow our social media channels and website to read some direct quotes from our report.
