What's the use of (a+b)² = a² + 2ab + b² ?? I've been working in social media for the last five years. I mostly worked for DTC fashion brands. Recently, I joined PW (PhysicsWallah) and am managing the social media of PW Institute of Innovation. >Working at an educational institute has given me the privilege to sit with some amazing faculty members of PW and gain insights into the other side of our typical syllabus. Before that, I often wondered why (a+b)² was in our syllabus and why my maths teacher taught me that. After discussing it with some of the faculties at PW, I got some fascinating responses from them. Here's the summary: 1. The distance formula calculates the distance between two points in a coordinate plane. 2. Understanding projectile motion is crucial in fields like ballistics and rocketry. The equations for projectile motion involve squares of time and initial velocities. Manipulating these terms using the concept of (a+b)² is often necessary to analyze these equations. That's not all. Shagun Gaur told me that the banking industry also uses the concept of (a+b)². 3. The concept of the time value of money involves calculating future values using current values, interest rates, and time intervals. >Squaring terms related to interest rates and time is common in compound interest formulas. Additionally, I learned some exciting facts: >In real life, the formula (a+b)² is used to find the area of a square by squaring the sum of its sides. > (a+b)² is always positive. > (a+b)² represents the square of the sum of “a” and “b,” whereas a² + b² represents the sum of the squares of “a” and “b” separately. The difference is that the expansion of (a+ b)² includes the term 2ab. This same formula can also used in the field of photography. How? > When cropping or expanding a photo equally on all sides, the formula can help determine the new dimensions and the total pixel area. Isn't it exciting? Somewhere in Delhi; Dec'23. "Hey, PW is hiring for FTP!! Let's fill it out together," a friend texted me one late evening while I was at work. 🌃 "I've seen their teachers, it's not easy to get in," I thought. But my heart was set on being there one day. We submitted the documents and went through the rigorous three-round hiring process in one day (9 hours). I was unsure about my performance, having answered 8/10 in the final round. I went to my hometown, assuming I didn't make it. Two weeks later, I told my dad, "Papa, I didn't receive the confirmation mail. I'm not in." 😞 "It's okay, beta. This is just the start. You will shine one day!" he encouraged me. ❤️ *Beep beep* I checked my phone and saw a congratulations email with an offer letter from PW. I smiled as tears rolled down my face. In three months of training, I rigorously improved my presentation, content delivery, and rapport with kids. Looking back, I feel proud of my transformation, thanks to the hard work of many. "Your students don't care how much you know until they know how much you care" is my belief. I take mentoring sessions seriously, creating mind maps for each zoology chapter by analyzing 5-6 years of PYQs. साथियों, आज मुझे अपने अनुभवों के बारे में लिखने का अवसर मिला। पिछले पंद्रह महीनों में, मैंने #PHYSICSWALLAH में काम करने के कई अद्भुत क्षणों का अनुभव किया है। भविष्य की रोशनी खोजने की मेरी यात्रा एक अनोखी जगह पर ले गई, जहाँ मैंने अपने बचपन के सपने को पूरा किया। पहले दिन मुझे सब कुछ अच्छा लगा। हर नई चुनौती मुझमें एक नई रुचि लेकर आई है। कॉलेज के समय से ही तकनीकी मामलों को संभालने में मेरी रुचि मुझमें गहरी थी और आज मुझे उस क्षेत्र में काम करने में मजा आता है। मैं प्रशिक्षण के लिए दिल्ली जाने के लिए बहुत उत्साहित था। मुख्य कार्यालय जाने का वह क्षण अविस्मरणीय था। उस समय, मेरा उड़ान भरने का सपना सच हो गया, और इसका आनंद अवर्णनीय था... तकनीकी चीजें सीखने का मतलब था कि मेरे ज्ञान के बगीचे में नए फूल खिल रहे थे। प्रत्येक नया कौशल एक नए जीवन का जन्म है। तीन महीने बाद जब मुझे टीम का नेतृत्व करने के लिए चुना गया, तो मुझे लगा कि मेरी कड़ी मेहनत का फल मिला है... हर दिन एक नया अध्याय था। यहां तक कि काम के तनाव में भी हमने एक-दूसरे के सहयोग से सभी कठिनाइयों को पार किया। इस पर काम करते हुए मुझे बहुत कुछ सीखने को मिला। आज मैं जिन तकनीकी चीजों से निपट रहा हूं, वे मेरे शामिल होने पर मेरे पास नहीं आई होंगी। जब नौकरी करके तीन महीने हुए , तो मुझे टीम के नेतृत्व के रूप में चुना गया था। मेरा मन खुशी से भर गया जब तत्कालीन बी. एच. श्री मोहित बद्लानी सर ने कहा, "अब आप टीम लीड हैं।" "मैं इसे कैसे संभालूँगा?"मैंने पूछा, और उन्होंने मुस्कुराते हुए जवाब दिया," आपके पास वह क्षमता है, बस अपने दिमाग पर भरोसा करें। उन्होंने मेरी प्रशंसा की और मेरे बारे में एक अलग ऊर्जा थी, और उनके शब्द अभी भी मुझे सबसे कठिन काम करने की ताकत देते हैं।  पेश हैं कुछ तस्वीरें....  😇 #PWRockstars #PHYSICSWALLAH #PhysicsWallah #PWVidyapeeth❤️ PW (PhysicsWallah) Alakh Pandey (PhysicsWallah) Prateek Maheshwari

Lekin PW ki journey batane se pehle, mai apko apne career ka recap de deta hu. PW join karne se pehle mai ek UPSC ✍️aspirant tha. Maine apni life mai 4 baar SSB diya Army Officer👮♂️ ke liye. Jisme har baar screen out hua . Maine UPSC CSE ki preparation ki aur prelims diya but safal na ho saka. Maine RRB 🚂NTPC ka Tier-1 exam crack kiya but Tier-2 ke exam ka pta exam ke 2 din pehle lagne se preparation ka time nhi mila kyuki tab tak maine PW mai apni journey 🛣️start kar di thi. Khair, insaan ki puri zindagi chand shabdon mai bayan nhi ki ja sakti, toh shuru karte hai PW ki journey ke baare mai. Maine PW mai apne career ki shuruaat as BDA (counsellor)📞 ki thi aur apne kaam ko lekar hamesha se dedicated raha. Six months ke baad Assistant Team Lead ki vacancy aayi aur maine interview diya, but reject🥲 ho gya. Ek mahine baad fir se interview diya for Quality Analyst but phir se reject ho gya😣. Few months baad manager ka call aaya ki QA ke liye interview schedule hua hai aur aapke paas 1 ghanta hai prepare karne ke liye. Ek ghante mai main kya hi prepare karta, toh honestly jo aata tha woh bola. Luckily, is baar QA ke liye select ho gya😌. 1-2 months mai as QA work kiya, lekin mujhe counselling karna zyada pasand tha. As a counsellor, mujhe lagta tha ki mai kisi ki counselling karke us student ki life mai bada impact la raha hu, hero 🦸♂️wali feeling aati thi. 2 months baad, PW apna UPSC launch kar raha tha. Pratik Rajawat sir UPSC aur counselling department ko head kar rahe they. Training team mai UPSC ke liye koi trainer nahi tha, aur luckily mera QA team ki taraf se office visit tha. Pratik sir ko pata tha ki main UPSC ki preparation karta tha, toh unhone mujhe task diya ki market research karo aur UPSC ka A to Z document banao. Maine PPT banayi aur 3 din baad raat ke 12 baje mail kiya. Sir ne kaam dekh kar mujhe UPSC ki training lead karne ko bola, jaha maine 300+ counsellors aur 20+ managers ko training di. Jab SSC aaya, maine SSC lead kiya aur kuch aur training jaise CSIR NET, IIT JAM, JEE, NEET ke liye bhi kaam kiya. Fir, Pratik sir ne mujhe Noida head office bula liya 🚶♂️inbound team setup karne ke liye. Mai Noida move hua, hiring ki aur successful inbound operations team build ki. Aaj ye team on-season mai 100 ki hoti hai aur off-season mai kam hoti hai. Iske alawa maine BPO📞, AOC, Vidyapeeth ki offline team mai bhi kaam kiya. Beech mai PW ke official YouTube channel pe aane ka mauka mila, jaha Med Ed ke launch ke liye students ka interview liya.
