Synapse Medical are proud to be representing ulrich medical's world class technology, the MAX MRI Injector. Below is a strong testament from Jay Patel, a University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust staff member, regarding their new MAX MRI Injectors.
"After thorough training on the Ulrich injector pumps, I can confidently operate them with ease, significantly improving our contrast administration process. The pumps streamline workflow by reducing the need for multiple consumables to just a line change per patient. While I can’t speak to exact cost savings, the system is clearly beneficial, especially with its efficient use of saline and contrast—one 1000ml saline bag often covers a full day’s studies.
The design includes helpful features like displaying expiry times for patient lines and cassettes on both the main screen and the pump, allowing us to use cassettes the following day if within the timeframe.
The Ulrich pumps offer flexibility, from simulating hand injections to high-pressure injections for specific studies, and are capable of supporting perfusion studies with double administrations, even though we don't currently perform them.
I appreciate the ability to administer contrast directly from the pump, which is beneficial for patient monitoring. The control allows me to stop or pause the injection as needed, adding safety and reassurance.
The pump also stands out with practical features like checking cannula viability with a quick saline flush and a convenient tray at the back for storing extra patient lines, contrast, tape, and the calibration measuring tube.
The main screen includes user guide videos, which have been incredibly useful for refreshing our knowledge and training colleagues. We’ve successfully administered Prefilled Syringes for some scans with no issues, even with different consumables. WhatsApp video guides have been helpful for refreshing our knowledge on this process.
Daily setup is quick and straightforward, and our superusers have effectively trained the rest of the team. The pumps are ergonomically designed, easy to maneuver, and have a small physical footprint. It’s a relief that the main screen and the injector pump communicate via local Wi-Fi, eliminating tripping hazards from cables. The unit charges quickly and holds a charge for a 12-hour shift.
Customer service via WhatsApp is efficient and user-friendly. We’ve received almost immediate support from district representatives and engineers, which has been reassuring. Additionally, the prompt delivery of consumables has been very helpful.
I highly recommend the Ulrich MR conditional injector pumps, as they have undoubtedly made contrast administration in our MRI department much easier."
