Cardiac Services is proud to partner with Digital Gait Labs in distributing the new AI-powered smartphone app, which can help doctors detect illnesses like early Alzheimer's. Discover how the GaitKeeper smartphone app leverages state-of-the-art AI technology, simplifying the process for doctors to assess a patient's gait. You can find all the details outlined in the article linked below. #cardiacservices #unipharmedtech #digitalgaitlabs #gaitkeepers #ai
"The app represents a significant breakthrough and means gait assessments can be conducted by anyone, anywhere, at any time." - Professor Seán Kennelly, Consultant Geriatrician and Director of the Institute of Memory and Cognition at Tallaght University Hospital (TUH). GaitKeeper, a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered technology, driven by a smartphone app, is helping doctors at Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) to diagnose early-Alzheimer's disease. The technology uses AI computer algorithms to analyse a person’s walk. For patients with chronic diseases such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or arthritis, walking speed serves as an indicator of disease progression and response to treatment. GaitKeeper can also indicate if someone could be living with early symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease or other disorders that affect the brain.
