On July 29 and 30, 2024, the SIP consortium—comprising Conservation International , ThinkAqua, Konservasi Indonesia and Yayasan Sinergi Akuakultur Indonesia (YSAI) — gathered at the Konservasi Indonesia Office to review the final report of SIP Phase 1 and chart the course for Phase 2. Since 2019, SIP has spearheaded a jurisdictional approach in Banyuwangi, laying out a comprehensive roadmap for sustainable shrimp farming. Key focus areas include Business Legality, Wastewater Treatment, Water Quality Monitoring, Access to Production Inputs, Training and Coaching, Farmers Organization, Incentives for Certification, and Coordination for Disease Management. We are confident that the accomplishments of Phase 1 will be fully realized and that the valuable insights gained will guide our future efforts. We are thrilled to continue our involvement in this program and, over the next two years, look forward to fruitful collaborations with the SIP teams, focusing on feed sustainability and scaling the initiative to other regions. A special thank you to our dedicated team for their hard work and commitment to making this program a success. Together, we are committed to driving positive change and fostering sustainable aquaculture practices. #SustainableAquaculture #ShrimpFarming #EnvironmentalProtection #Collaboration #Innovation #ShrimpImprovmentProgram #FarmersCollaboraotion #Aquaculture #Banyuwangi #SIP #SupplyChain
