Congratulations to our bowling team for winning the 1st runner-up in last week’s bowling tournament hosted by The Staffs and Workers Union of Hong Kong Civil Airlines! A team of four staff members from the HKA Flight Operations Departments demonstrated exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship, outperforming 40 other participating companies to bring home this impressive award. Competing in such a large field, like in all ball games, requires not only skill but also strong teamwork to support each other. Our team exemplified this perfectly. During the tournament, the team successfully bowled several strikes, clearing all the pins from the lane, and creating many uplifting moments. These achievements were the result of each team member’s hard work and passion throughout the competition. #HKAirlines #TeamSpirit #BowlingCompetition

#Embrace the World: To Share, To Learn In a bid to enrich Hong Kong students’ understanding of the aviation industry and inspire their flying dreams, Hong Kong Airlines organised the “Embrace the World” School Sharing Workshop on 9 July. Held at the primary section of the Tung Chung Catholic School, over 100 primary four students had the unique opportunity to engage with the airline’s pilot and cabin crew. Through a series of fun activities and insightful sharing sessions, the students gained basic aviation knowledge and a deeper understanding of the aviation industry. The workshop is part of the airline’s “Embrace the World” Student Sponsorship Programme, which was relaunched in April this year. At the workshop, the pilot and cabin crew shared their work experiences, shedding light on various aspects of their job, including the duties of a pilot and the key role of cabin crew. Under the guidance of the flight crew, students tried making inflight announcements and enthusiastically participated in the Q&A session. Hong Kong Airlines remains committed to nurturing the next generation of aviation professionals and helping young minds take flight toward their dreams. "Hong Kong Airlines has been the starting point of my career in the aviation industry, where I had the opportunity to realise my dream of becoming a licensed Engineer. Right after graduating from university, I joined HKA as an Engineering License Trainee. Throughout my time with the company, I have received tremendous support and input from both the organization and my senior colleagues.
