📢 Exciting news from BlueFloat Energy! We are thrilled to reveal the site location of our "Winds of September Phase 1" project, which will participate in Taiwan's upcoming Floating Demonstration Program set for later in 2024. This marks a significant step towards establishing Taiwan's first floating offshore wind farm, with the project expected to deliver 180 MW of clean energy. The site, located 23 kilometers off the coast of Hsinchu City, has been carefully selected after thorough environmental assessments and stakeholder engagement, including collaboration with the Hsinchu Fishermen Association for guard vessel support.    In line with our commitment to enhancing Taiwan's offshore wind supply chain, we are also proud to announce today the signature of a collaboration agreement with the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) to assess local manufacturing capabilities for floating offshore wind mooring and anchoring systems. This partnership leverages MIRDC's experience of assisting local companies and BlueFloat Energy's deep expertise in floating wind technology. Together, we aim to support and develop local suppliers, preparing them for the future commercial phases of floating wind projects.     🌊⚡  Floating wind technology will play a key role in helping Taiwan reach its offshore wind targets for 2035 and we remain dedicated to advancing the delivery of this technology in this country and the broader APAC region.
