Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Chairman Bradley Roberts holding back no words in his response to Free National Movement Chairman Sidney Collie, saying quite frankly Mr. Collie talks “damn nonsense.”
Last week, Mr. Collie warned the PLP chairman to be careful for what he asks for following Roberts’ call on party supporters to “rise up and challenge” the Minnis administration.
Mr. Collie then said he doesn’t believe that PLPs are paying attention to Bradley Roberts.
In an interview with The Bahama Journal yesterday, Mr. Roberts said Collie is simply oblivious and living on a cloud.
“He obviously has to include himself in being a nobody and he is clearly talking foolishness and if he says nobody’s listening then he has to be the only one,” Mr. Roberts said.
“Sidney Collie is presently on a cloud and in a bubble and he could talk all the damn non-sense he wants to talk. There are people that listen to Bradley Roberts whether he likes it or not.”
When prompted to respond to questions surrounding pundits saying he represents the “old guard” of the PLP, Mr. Roberts said, “When it comes to old money vs. new money, money is money.”
Roberts has been extremely critical of the Minnis administration since it took office.
Mr. Roberts last month said Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis and his administration were not ready to govern and continued to “muddle along,” despite the Free National Movement’s (FNM) continued criticism when it was in opposition of the former Christie administration.
Mr. Collie responded by saying said it took the PLP at least 100 days to name appointees, adding that it has only took the new government about half the time to compose the boards.
