Celebrities have some sort of idea that they have to deal with
paparazzi, however; things are a bit out of control.
It’s already difficult for anyone remotely famous to walk down the street (let alone do any normal activities such as shop or eat at a restaurant), but the latest exploitations of them are just astonishing.
While at the gym last night, I was disgusted to see (on a local Los Angeles news program) footage of paparazzi taking pictures of
Jessica Alba and Pamela Anderson under their skirts. These were two separate incidents, both of which horrific because these actresses were said to be pregnant at the time of the snapshots (Anderson isn’t pregnant anymore, reportedly).
Now this is not a situation of a
celebrity exiting a car, open-legged without undergarments on — think
Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. These are women who are trying to stay low-key, not asking for attention.
Imagine you are walking down the street and you’re encompassed by a group of men sticking cameras between your legs. That would without a doubt be some sort of assault. In fact, I’m sure most of us would even take some legal action.
This is crossing the line. It is pornographic, and it has to stop.
