...and again, you have achieved the 'vintage look' perfectly. i really love the quality of light here, and the patchy shadows in top corners are lush. it reminds me of a fractured memory, beaut...hello again, im back! been so busy recently with the uni year drawing to an end, but never fear, i will be getting some new shots up and ready soon, i promise! glad i was so missed!! ha ha

s'nice michael. i really like the figure how it has an almost painterdly effect, and the red really stands out and sets off the rest of the picture. the way the sea leads up to the figure is pretty cool too, makes the whole image about that...in fact the whole thing looks loke a painting, which for me is mint, coz i love it when pics have that effect, also like the haze of light on the horizon to the left...a tres thoughtful image

really like the composition and the shoes! i think it works really well and screems mary poppins. i would maybe of liked to see more of the items matching, but i know this can be difficult on a budget! i really like the wallpaper, but... im not sure about the border at the bottom, think its a bit distracting...all in all though, well done jack, i think its a great idea and i think its been executed really well, im only being so critical because your in my area now! keep it up, i really love where your work is at the moment, really pleasing to see you doing so many shoots, and with such variety. i can't wait to see what you come up with next. keep shooting my love...especially if you achieve great imagery like this, xx

this view point is really origional, it allows the viewer to ask many unanswerable questions, and the title adds to this. the gritty colours and lighting are so seedy that it is difficult to tear my eyes away..! i feel there is a story to be told, and i am waiting for more in the series!

i would like to see it cropped about half a cm lower at the top, as i think i can just make out the end of the stack of records at the back corner

i love this image, its as if im viewing the secne through a fish tank, with the strange blur at the edges...a really unique and effective technique...the little hairs you refer to really add to this beautifully origional style, as with the one of the tree. thanks also for my comment on 'Best of British' i try not to take myself or my work very seriously, and it shocks me when people get offended by what i consider straight forward humor! thanks again

yes, a very thought provoking shot jack. i really like the light on the records, it seems softer and more hazy than that on the rest of the shot, does this symbolically reflect where your loyalties lie?

no, ha cartier-bresson strictly did his cropping with his eyes!! the child on the left fascinates me, with her handbag and glasses, striving to be older, it reminds me of tottering around in my mums heels when i was little! a gaze-gripping shot

there is an amazing, almost halo effect to this shot...why don't people have this grace and dignaty about them these days? as i say over and over, i love old photographs, and this is a beautiful example

i've really got a thing for vintage photographs. this shot is great...and the fact its authentic is even better! who is the photographer/assistant? should i know?! i really like how the pose of the women is kind of like a beauty pagent, waiting, posing, competing...and i would kill for those sun glasses!
i strive to get a vintage, 70s look in many of my images with lighting and a kind of tungsten thing, but im unable to get something anything like this, suppose there is no beating the real thing! thank you for sharing this image, its a real treasure!

this shot is so great. i love the origional lighting you've used. my eye tries to fight to look at each subject, back and forth back and forth, great.

yep, really love this shot. i love the green setee, and particually the hint of the beautifully embroiderd chair in the left. i take back what i said to a certain extent. the viewer can tell exactly what the subject is doing, but it is still really 'intreguing'!!! (your word!!) the subtle colours are really beautiful thomas, i competely love that, for me the colours make the image. did you use a ring flash? the shadows and softness of the face are beaut, there is kind of a halo effect goin on around the head...

this has the same feel as todays shot, is this a new series? i love the feel. the buildings with the grass over the front creates a really soft texture, and an almost highlighted hazy effect, with the ray of light beaming down on the feathered grass...stunning, cant wait to see where you go with this, more please
