Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1543 by Friedrich, Prince of the Palatinate (Pfalz) to Treswitz. Already in 1544 the suburb Moosbach started to use the same arms. As Moosbach grew faster than Treswitz it was allowed to use the arms as its own in 1608. The arms have not changed since.The upper part of the arms shows the lion of the Pfalz and the diamonds of Bayern. The lower part shows a canting symbol, the name means Marsh-Brook. The plants are typical for the marshlands in the area.
