Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 15, 1987.

The red tower is taken from the arms of the Lords of Harsdorf, who ruled the village in medieval times. The silver point in blue is taken from the arms of the Lords of Künssberg, who played a mayor role in the local history. The crosier refers to the local patron saint, ST. Martin, bishop of Tours. The tool in the upper left corner is used in the local malting house, which was founded in the 19^th century and which was of importance for the local economy.
